  • What can you do?

A lot of us have different thinking. Some wants loy Afghanistan, some want all pakhtun to be strict Muslims, some want pakhtuns to be liberal and argue that pakhtun will educated and happy unless they part ways with religion, some are defending pakistan, and some are born to bash pakistan cant sleep without it.

All these beliefs are good in its own way only if you don't impose it on others (which unfortunately is not the case).Having said this we all have one thing in common we want pakhtun to be happy, we want peace we want imperialist to f*** off.

Here is my question, can we for once come up with a strategy with just one common goal to help the pakhtuns to get education to make them be proud as our forefathers were.can we for once forget our difference, can islamist and secular work together, can the feminist and dominant male work together, will the pakistan loving pakhtun and the the guy who call pakistan porkistan work together?

lets take our people out of the mess "together" and when are all happy and not suppressed we can sort out our difference.

any suggestions and i mean some practical ones?

grana wrora your thoughts are very much apreciated and i wish we could unite, the problems we have right now is not in disunity, we pashtun were never united the only thing i am proud of we have never accepted foreign invasion. if the foreigners stop interfering in our affairs we can handle our situation. all the present problems are imported. is there any solution we can stop foreign interference? the first solution is peace, then eduation, the rest will change .

I think we seriously lack genuine leadership, I think one of us have to move forward , enough of these two faced "leaders"

the problem is that as long as there are foreign interference Pakhtun interests can never be prioritized

and there will be foreign interference as long as the ISI has power of Pakhtuns

And the ISI will always have power over Pakhtuns as long as a significant chunk of Pakhtuns pledge allegiance to the state of which the ISI is a part of

its not so much Pakistani interests that need to be kept in mind. that i think is simple. if that was the issue then Pakhtana would have to pledge:

a- no support or alliance with India
b- full economic partnership with pakistan
c- ending all territorial claims on pakistani territory

and i think that moving towards a supranational linkage with pakistan is a natural step. the durrand line and territory claims become obselete if theres a political union of sorts between the two countries and a complete open border and linkage between Law aw Bar

the problem is that the ISI is beholden to foreign interests.

since we cant resolve this issue immediately we need to focus on social and cultural issues as much as we can

        1. creation of Pakhtun civil society groups consisting of members from both sides

        2. creating pashtun elementary and high schools and universities on both sides of the border where pashto is taught...where pashto culture and history is emphasized

        3. maintaining an open border at all costs

        4. emphasizing trade amongst ourselves before we trade elsewhere

        5. DENOUNCE AND FIGHT AGAINST ANY ATTEMPT TO CREATE INTER PAKHTUN STRIFE WHETHER IN THE PUBLIC SPHERE OR IN YOUR OWN HOMES

        6. Putting political pressure on our respective governments to take into account the interests of our brothers on the other side. No Kabul or Islamabad govt should be able to even look dirty at our brothers over the border.

        7. creation of businesses that hire strictly amongst Pashtuns from both sides.

        8. annual/bi annual jirgas encompassing all tribes from both sides

        9. pakhtun student unions from both sides meeting consistently to address areas of mutual concern

        10. investing in Pakhtun arts and entertainment and culture

Unity is the only issue......the west have things like EU to unite the european countries....unity is wat is needed when foreigners invade ur land...without unity u cudnt defeat ur enemies (foreigners)...but i mentioned when foreigners leave then they turn on eachother....
