Begum Naseem Wali Khan on Saturday announced formation of Bacha Khan Awami National Party.

Talking to media, she also offered people to join the new party especially those who left the ANP due to differences.

“I waited for seven years and hoped that the ANP would deliver but I did not so now I have come forward to make a new party to promote Bacha Khan’s mission”, she added.

PESHAWAR: Veteran politician and former parliamentarian Begum Nasim Wali Khan has announced establishment of a new political party with the name of 'Bacha Khan Awami Party' the formal announcement of which is due on the death anniversaries of Bacha Khan and Wali Khan scheduled for last week of the current month.
Begum Nasim Wali Khan disclosed this while briefing local media men after chairing a meeting of the Pukhtoon Students Federation here on Saturday.

She said that her grandson Lawangeen Khan was inexperienced and could not run the party affairs, therefore a jirga of the ANP dissident workers would be called for the formation of the new political entity wherein there would be no place for the corrupt people.

She said the party would be formed with the name of Bacha Khan Awami Party which will have its own symbol, flag, manifesto and constitution.

The manifesto and constitution of the party would be true reflective of the vision and thoughts of Bacha Khan and Wali Khan and at the same time she maintained that there would no place for the corrupt politicians of the previous ANP regime in the province. She alleged that this specific group of corrupt politicians of ANP was massively involved in corrupt practices during the ANP government in the province from 2008-2013.

Begum Nasim Wali Khan said she had no other option except to re-enter the politics to which she had bad farewell a decade ago. She told that there would be no place for any kith and kin of Wali khan in her party, no matter if he or she was his (Wali Khan) son, or his nephew or my own son even. I will never compromise on the political ideology of Bacha Khan.

She told that the party would first be launched in KPK which would later be extended to other provinces adding she would never be part of any intra ANP elections.
