  • question for democrats: what if Abdullahx2 wins?

    Dear secular democrats,

It is very unlikely for Abdullah to win the elections in 2014 because he is backed by Iran and Russia while Ashraf Ghani is backed by America.

But let us pretend that Abdullah wins. How would you react seeing a Pashtun-hating tajik stooge of Iran winning in a fair election?

Would you accept the results or would you violently depose him even if he is a legitimate winner?

In a democracy, the people decide. So are you prepared to accept the consequnces of loosing to Tajiks or Hazaras in a fair election?

Fair election? i don't think its possible under current circumstances. but yes if he won the election fairly it should be acceptable. hopefully ashram ghani saeb wins the election. the american didn't support ghani in the past, but yes they might be in favour of him. Abdulla x2 is much better candidate in favour the US interest. why abdulla isn't supported by the US.

I thought it didn't matter who wins the election, since the real decisions are made in Washington?

Why now are you suddenly worried?

Nice try wahabist , I don't really care what the ethnicity is of the precident is as long as he respects everyone rights, and if Abdullah wins so be it, I guess PAshtun must have voted for him, because you can't never win in Afghanistan if no Pashtun voted for you.

And as a Tajik yourself you must be super happy if he wins, like most of you, will always stay ethnocetric no matter how much of a pure muslim you like to pretend to be.

As long as the county prospers, and grows, who cares who is in charge, or his ethnicity.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

for me is important, afghan unity, stability and a peaceprocess with the taliban not important if this can bring a tajik or hazara president.
this war against taliban is useless pathetic and not winnabl and should directly stop in this war of the usa dieing afghans for over 12 years and this ex taliban dont working in politics that is also not ok they should work there and change the way of this pro us american war afghan goverment but no they working in schools and universitys like mullah zaef writing books or going back to their farmland.

Grana wroor, you don't need to apology about your English.

You can fix auto correct on your browser (Firefox,Google Chrome etc), it helps a lot for those who don't live in English speaking country.

You are millions times better than majority of the world. At least you can speak 3-4 languages fluent, many can't even speak 2.

As USA is a lesser evil as compared to Taliban, similarly Abdullah is better than an Afghanistan ruled by Taliban.

I will deeply appreciate if some one share here the facts that how Abdullah is anti-Pashtun? He speaks fluent Pashto and claims his mother and some says his father is Pashtun.

My candidate is Ashraf Ghani but Abdullah being an educated Afghan is not bad. His connection with Iran cannot be termed something disastrous as Afghanistan should have a leader to have good relations with neighbors like Iran and Pakistan. You can change your friends but not neighbors. Geography is absolute.

If you have Firefox. You go on to Adds-on and write on search after add-on
                        "British English Dictionary 1.19.1"

OR you can go to google, the browser you have adds on + English dictionary and just install it.
It depends who you are, for me. My English got worse because of these auto corrects

In our situation I completely agree with you grana. I don't care who is leader just if he/she will give prosperity, freedom and stability. In that way Pashtun identity can boost it self without no problem at all.

And to have good relationship with your cousins (Iranians) is the best. If Iran can have our back, because in the end it is in their interest as well to have a stability neighbours in one direction to boost their own economy. If they don't need to worry about Afghanistan, they have strength to deal with Iraq and Saudis, Qataris, Bahrains and other desert people. And we can easily help those poor brainwashed kids who blow themselves up in Afghanistan coming for British punjabistan with the aid of India, it will be good pressure on panjabs and maybe, part of Pashtunistan, Baluchistan, Kashmir can have their independent from British panjabistan.

But the main problem is still, the foreign forces occupying Afghanistan!!

He's not running for president, but he is leader of a political party.

Right now the only serious contenders are Abdullah and Ghani. But anything can happen, because in Afghanistan elections are won by secret deals and haggling.
