A Pashtun by defintion cannot become Mullah because these are two different identities. A Mullah ethnically is not Pashtun.

Pashtunwali clealrly separates Mullah and Pashtun, Jumat and Hujra. Mullah is for jumat while Pashtun is for the hujra. This is the inbuilt secularism in Pashtun society.

This balance was disturbed by the US and Arab money when after 1979 Mullah became rich and wanted to have both Jumat and Hujra.

After Arab money mosques got stronger while hujras and Pashtun nationalism declined and we see the outcome in form of Taliban in Pashtunland.

Pashtuns have rich culture, music, dance, traditions, values, way of life but Islamism is the worst danger for all these features of Pashtun society.

Pashtuns have to once again establish the equilibrium of Hujra and Jumat otherwise Mullah will become the only leader of Pashtuns as it is already happening throughout.

I will strongly suggest that you think over two words and their difference while reading my posts on religious or political subjects. Islam and Islamism. I am against Islamism and not Islam.

What butchering? The Pashtun mullah brought peace not only to Pashtuns but your farsiwans as well. The ones that did the butchering of all afghans were your saleh, fahim, dostom, wahdat warlords and the commies like najib who sold their people. Omar and Haqani's issue is with the US, they regard the regime the US built regardless of who is in it(Pashtun, Tajik, hazara, Uzbek and there are former Taliban who are in that regime) as a puppet of the US and not of the afghan people. Their struggle is not Pashtun vs farswan. Its the farswan fascists who portray it that way for political purposes. They are using hitlers tactics of fear to stay in power.

Pashtunwali in its pristine (pre-Islam or pre-Islamism of 1979) has nothing to do with Wahabism. There is no theology, no monotheism, no concept of God, no concept of Islamic metaphysics, no forms of worship recommended by Islam and no religious bigotry and radicalism propagated by Wahabism.

Pashtunwali is a social and cultural phenomenon with some political elements like Jirga and mythology like deo Turaban and its folklore like Adam khan durranai, sheralam memonai, yousaf khan sherbano etc. Nothing religious there while Wahabism is pure religion.

I have one fundamental question from you. Can you clearly say what is Islam for you and what is Islamism? Just few lines whenever you have time. For me Qur'an and Sunna in its literal sense is Wahabism or Islamism while Islam is only the five pillars and morality but not everything written in Quran and Hadith literally.

If you think Islam is a complete code of life and everything in Qur'an and Hadith is Islam then there is no difference between Wahabism/Islamism/Talibanism and Islam. Then you cannot prove Wahabis and others wrong as all their arguments are based on Qur'an and Hadith.
