well, i do not know about pakistan pashtun land related with kashmir. .but it is true that pakistan has used pashtuns in the guise of kashmiri freedom frighter against indian security forces including kashmir police... it was also quite evident in 1999 kargil war..

How do you know this?

I know that with "east Pakistan", the Pakistanis needed it in the 60s as it was a cash cow, a net exporter (west Pakistan was a net importer), so it's money was stolen and looted to fund west Pakistan.

However east Pakistan's use was decreasing as the jute trade (which a lot of the money made by east Pakistan was based on) was going, so Bhutto and others in the long run thought it was pointless sticking with east Pakistan as it wasn't going to be useful for stealing money from, also it was pointless having east Pakistanis/Bengalis challenging the power of West Pakistanis, so he wanted to get rid of east Pakistan anyway.

Bhutto barked in public e.g. in the UN about east Pakistan but that was drama in the long run he wanted it to separate and be the ruler of west Pakistan.

Bengalis got abused, sucked and drained out of money, (1947-71) then got massacred (1971), then got labelled as traitors and are now being targeted by Pakistan and its allies, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Sad but true.

I thought Pashtun areas were different to east Pakistan though, since Pakistanis/Punjabis do not consider Pashtuns as racially inferior as they do with Bengalis (whom they never regarded as actual Pakistanis anyway) and it is right next to them and not 1,000 miles away. So I thought they would do anything to keep it.

If however they just want to use "Pathans" to kill and be killed to gain water for Punjab in Kashmir, and then get rid of them as unnecessary then it shows they are not as nationalistic and attached to the whole "Pakistan" concept as I thought.

They saw Bengalis as inferior slaves whose land was useful for stealing money from, and maybe they just see "Pathans" as dumb savages who can be used to kill and be killed for Punjabi interests.
