Pakistan has offered Afghanistan US $20 million for training of ANSF

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Afghanistan on Saturday to meet with President Hamid Karzai.

This visit is coming at an important juncture as political and security transitions are underway in Afghanistan, marked by the upcoming elections and Nato troop withdrawal during 2014, stated the government in a press release on Friday.

The prime minister seeks to strengthen bilateral ties with Afghanistan and he believes that relations should be underpinned by a strong trade and economic partnership, says the release.

The government also emphasised how Pakistan has been extending assistance to Afghanistan in the form of infrastructure, health and education projects, in order to contribute to Afghanistan’s socio-economic development.

The two countries are also involved in road, rail and connectivity projects and Pakistan has offered Afghanistan US $20 million for training of Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF).

During his visit, Nawaz will also be meeting with Afghanistan’s High Peace Council, led by Chairman Salahuddin Rabbani.

This upcoming visit will strengthen the positive momentum in bilateral relations and help intensify common endeavours in the pursuit of durable peace, stability and prosperity in the region, states the government in their release.

as far as i know we not only train afghan But Sri lankan,bangladesh's,Burma,thailand,all the gulf states,regular exercises with American,british,French,chinese,german,turks,irani ans,

Pakistan army is considered one of the most well trained army in the world.You can deny anything you want but it doesnt change the fact.

Though i believe Pak army and ANA should go for a Joint ventures against Talibans.

In 1971 again we had only 34k troops deployed and the bangladesh's themselves wanted to get seperated.

We had forced india to an extent that they offered to make LOC an international border but Musharaf extended the offer to upto pathankot and than only we will make it officially call it a international border.

Afghanistan region siding Pakistan is a dud land without anything significant otherwise we would have invaded those parts of afghanistan long back.But 70% of the afghan land is dud and would be more like a drain on our economy and will take us decades to end the insurgency.

sources in 2010-11 revealed that NDA govt was almost ready to give pathankot and adjacent region to pak in return of a small valley aka kashmir valley.But we entered into the WOT and everything Got screwed


Anyway Pakistan and India relations are getting better and better..even indian govt realized that we should not upset Pakistan by giving arms to Afghanistan after repeated request.when infact pakistan already has 1200 t-54 tanks in our bhahawalpur tanks graveyard. :d

All the crew for MBT-2000 tanks of bangladesh was trained in Pakistan.infact H khan claimed that pakistan offered them 4 simulators of al khalid for free which total cost is 1.4million dollars

If i remember correct even Uzbekistan wanted their army to be trained by Pak army.

i can mention more and more.

So their must be something regarding the training standard of Pak army that dozens of army wants to be trained here

There should be more cooperation on the border, together we box in the Talibs and kill them off. Both "good" and "bad" Taliban. I hope our next president is more sensible, and doesn't badmouth Pakistan so much like Karzai.

I dont have time to go into detail because your points have been refuted numerous times in other threads But I will say that the simple fact that pakistanis beg for US and Euopean citizenship and risk their lives to leave the hellhole called pakistan everyday speaks volumes on how successful the country is not to mention that pakistan in the last decade got more US AID than Israel. The only thing your successfull at is getting handouts ie begging.
