The article disproves your point. It says that Afghans don't want to bend over for a few dollars.

    woo wroora!

This is true, but we have a lot of cowards minorities and our fellow brothers who do it. And it takes just few to destroy for entire group and population. Like one man and his tribe destroyed Pashtun unity when arabs could not break Pashtun borders.

Like that fantasy film 300, I took an example everybody knows. That one spartan was enougf for one ambush to finish greek bacha bazs and the spartans.
To Paradise, with Pakhto, I will go.

They had been living in conditions of anarchy and war, and they were longing for peace, and there was an expectation that the Taliban would provide security and, therefore, there was little resistance to them as they advanced.
SPOZHMAI MAIWANDI, Voice of America: Yes. Based on our interviews with them, and based on our interviews at the Voice of America with people of the areas that they have captured, they are enjoying popular support. Everywhere they went according to the reports we received people were very tired, were fed up with the atrocities committed by the commanders of the Jihad--or the political factions that were in power and some of them who were in your position, so that helped them. There was no security, no stability, no food, the roads were closed, according to these people, the popular support helped him.

are these sources good enough? what say you.

I don't see what your point is in the first two sentence. Is there any point you want to clarify by that, or is it one of your habits to write something out of a thin air...

I knew your comprehensive skills were bad, but I didn't knew it was that critical. Also just to clarify it, you haven't showed a single source that proves Afghans randomly express their opinion, while their are in their everyday duty.
All you showed was a planned protest, so I don't even see how it even relevant to our discussion.

And even your own source proves you wrong:

According to other students, however, the core group of radicals often successfully exerts pressure on the rest of the student body.
"When first-year students come here, they are vulnerable—they are the target for recruitment," said Ahmad Aqbal, a political science student at Nangarhar University who doesn't share the militant ideology. "They tell you, 'If you join us, you'll pass your exams.' "
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

They are not. Here is some new from back the day.

1996: Afghan forces routed as Kabul falls
The capital of Afghanistan has fallen to opposition militia after three days of fierce fighting. Taleban forces consolidated their grip on Kabul after storming the presidential palace - the country's seat of government - 24 hours ago.
Ousted President Burhanuddin Rabbani, his prime minister and his military chief are being hunted by the radical Islamic group who branded them "national criminals".
The former president, Mohammed Najibullah, and his brother have already been murdered by the militants.
One-eyed opposition leader Mullah Mohammed Omah and his student fighters had been repulsed from the city twice before, but this time it appeared government forces lost the will to fight.
          Panic
Hundreds were killed and many have fled for the protection of the Jabal-us-Seraj base north of Kabul.
They leave a ruined, war-torn city deserted by almost all the aid agencies that were working there until a few days ago.
"There was so much panic in the city, so much tension, that everyone who could, fled," said Azad Singh Toor, an Indian diplomat.
But many of the citizens in Kabul are waiting to see if the Taleban can unite the country under one faction after decades of internal conflict.
And the murder of the last communist ruler of Afghanistan, former president Najibullah, was a grim warning to anyone who wished to oppose their version of Islamic rule.
The "Soviet puppet" and Taleban hate figure was dragged out of the UN compound where he had sought refuge in 1992 and was beaten, shot and hanged in front of the presidential palace.

There is hundred more sources if you want. There is even a documentary that filmed while Taliban were taking slowly control of the country.

It looks as though you are the one who needs an education on source criticism. My source supercede yours since yours is a secondary source and mines is a primary sources. You must proved a source that was written at the time, not something that is written recently about that time. You need to Focus on truth rather than fantasy.

I was even kind enough to spell it out for you, regarding what the claim was about. Yet you somehow miss the point and like a mole dug your own hole.

DSM, throwing insults does not work with me. The best insulter on this forum is RTR and he ran away many times.

But the fact is you claimed that people don't express political opinions to dagarwal and WSJ has debunked you. Don't get mad at me, get mad at WSJ.
When your claim was debunked by WSJ, you tried to change goal posts, it didn't work, but that's OK, you did your best and thats all anyone can do.

I didn't know there were a championship for best insulter. Perhaps you could invite me to the next competition.

Unfortunately I don't insult people, I merely describe them.

You have proven yet again that if its requires the ability to understand the English language, you wont be able to do it. My argument was in fact that people don't randomly spew their opinion in the public, but you took it out of context. I don't want to waste time and explaining it for the third time, just because of your inability to read English.

What is even funnier, is the fact that you somehow related all this to a demonstration.
Your common sense is so rare it should be in a museum

Ashraf Ghani has done research on the religious schools from where the Taliban originate. He's now a visiting professor at Johns Hopkins University. The lady is a journalist so you must provide proof of her political motive if you claim it. Ashraf Ghani was a professor at the time so he had no political motive at the time like he does today. Khalilzaid was a US gov employee so he would be the only one with a political motive, but at the time of the interview, 911 had not happened.
You do realize they both work against the Taliban today and at the time of the interview they are describing the Taliban as a group that is bringing security to the country, facing little resistance from the people and are enjoying popular support which is also confirmed by the journalist and the new York times.

Their political motives would have them saying the opposite of what they are actually saying in the interview but because they did not know 911 was going to happen.

So describe what was their political motive of the time and the reasons behind them?
