*Remember that in the past Iran also helped Pakistan in wars against India.
*Iran was among the first country to official recoginize Pakistan as a state after parition while Afghanistnan has always been against Pakistan creation and hindu lover

Pakistan and iran relations are getting stronger and stronger,The Trade is all set to increase to 5billion dollars while the Govt has even projected a 10billion dollars mark in the next 5 years

When the IP will get Online mostly likely in 2015-16,Pakistan alone will have to pay 5-6billion dollars to them for gas annually

*Iran will establish a Oil refinery for worth 4billion dollars in Gwadar and is ready to supply china through a pipeline to gwadar and we all know china alone energy sources import is more than 200billion dollars.

Iran is popular in Pakistan, overwhelmingly disliked everywhere else
also Pakistan census during british times showed 3% shia..(and also subsiquent censuses) how did they ended up with 30 million i.e. 15% shia?? ..i do not agree with that number.. unless you give evidence of mass conversions of sunnies..
What really drives me hazy is it me or are the others crazy

Pakistan would incur heavy military and infrastructure losses in event that they support US war on Iran.

This is recommended reading in order. It will explain to you why US diplomacy is desperate to get a deal even at the cost of Israel. However, the issue is now that Israel will not accept any deal, and Israel is not exactly any other ally- its got domineering influence over the US Senate and Congress- the US.

This article below is about a backchannel communication/message from Washington to Tehran- to steer clear of US bases in the region in event of an Israeli attack on Iran.

'Iran must steer clear of US interests in Gulf' - Israel News, Ynetnews

Iran's response to the message is below. This is the only reason the US is trying to resolve this diplomatically on the behalf of Israel.

Iran threatens attack on US bases in event of war with Israel - CSMonitor.com

"For this reason, we will enter a confrontation with both parties and will definitely be at war with American bases should a warbreak out," Hajizadeh said in remarks that were posted on the website of Iran's state Al-Alam TV. U.S. facilities in Bahrain, Qatar and Afghanistan would be targeted, he said.
"There will be no neutral country in the region," Hajizadeh said. "To us, these bases are equal to U.S. soil."

Pakistani public maybe different, but pakistani army/governments are slaves, they will do whatever their masters tell them to do in the West or Gulf

First of all war between Iran and Israel is highly unlikely because the Americans can't another war, and the US and Iran are close to signing a nuclear deal.

Second of all, if war does supposedly break out between Iran and America/Israel, the Pakistani Government would probably try to stay out of it, but it's quite likely that Nawaz Sharif might support America because Nawaza is a stooge of the Saudis, and the Saudis don't like Iran because of it's shia ideology.

America doesn't really need Pakistan in a war against Iran, because they have Iraq,Qatar,Bahrain,Kuwait,Azerbaijan,Turkmenistan, Turkey and Karzai's Afghanistan as allies, and there would also be internal enemies like the Kurdish and Baluch rebels, and wahabi terrorist groups that consider Shias infidels, so Iran would be surrounded by enemies.

America doesn't need Pakistan, but if it does approach Pakistan, it would be hard to turn them down, not because of the money, but because Pakistan could redeem it's self as a pro-west ally, just like it did after 9/11, however that isn't sustainable because after iran is decimated, the Zionists will refocus on Pakistan, so it's in Pakistan's interests to stay out, and keep tabs on American support for Baluch rebels.

This is a quote from a Pakistani nationalist "Pathan" from another forum:

Although its Allah who decides who is shaheed or not, I would like to believe our soldiers are.

Although I feel sorry for them, being used as pawns by brown nose treacherous generals. Hakimullah Mehsud's mansion was under the nose of an Army base, yet the Army never did anything about it. I have heard from locals that people knew even which shops he bought his groceries from. Its impossible to imagine that the Army didnt.

The Army wanted to clear Swat, it did so. The Army does not want to clear FATA completely of TTP. The top brass dont want to lose their cash cow.
Pakistani Soldiers Who Die Fighting Taliban - Not Shaheed - Pakistani Military & Strategic Discussion Forum - Pakistani Defence Forum

Mehsud's mansion, yes mansion not house or cave or hut, but mansion was something like 1 km from a big army base so a 1 minute drive. He wasn't surviving in the mountains and eating fruits from trees and livestock but shopping away happily in local stores walking around freely. A man involved in the killing of 50,000 Pakistanis living 1 km from an army base shopping openly.

The pseudo-experts on here and elsewhere will label anyone who points out the reality of the TTP as staged opposition as a "conspiracy theorist", but the reality is that the TTP is controlled by the Pakistan army.

The TTP are enemies of Pashtuns and massacre Pashtuns, destroy Pashtun mosques, make Pashtuns refugees, destroy Pashtun culture whilst the strategically more important Punjab is safe.

Israeli domineering influence on the US Congress and Senate is unquestionable.

No nuclear deal in Geneva if it even happens will stop Israel.

This is a very convenient take. Nawaz is simply a puppet of the Pakistan Army as are most all other Pakistani politicians. The real toilet cleaner of Pakistan is Kayani.

I do agree with you, if US needs, Pakistan will be at their service to support a US war on Iran.

However, this decision would be one of the most costly.
