      1. Apparently there are reports that the TTP have "confirmed" that Hakimullah Mehsud has been killed, these reports claim that:

a: The TTP has said there will be no peace talks with the Pakistani army.
b: The TTP have sworn revenge, and to punish the "murtad" (apostate) Pakistan army.
c: That Mehsud's funeral will apparently be held in Miranshah.

      Miranshah.

      2. What is the point in killing the very leader of the organization (or one of the key leaders, as apparently there were many militant organizations) you are supposed to have dialogue with, on the eve of peacetalks?

Is the US trying to sabotage possible Pakistani-TTP peace talks and prolong the war, or are the duplicitous Pakistanis themselves behind it?

      3. According to Pashtunwali, Mehsud's death must be avenged and revenge taken ("badal"), so aside from viewing things from a TTP perspective, Mehsud's family, cousins and tribe will feel compelled to continue their war.

      4. If Mehsud's funeral will openly be held in Miranshah, then where is the Pakistani state?

If in the eyes of the Pakistani state, Mehsud is a criminal and terrorist then what sort of control (or lack of it) do they have if they cannot clamp down on his funeral or at least restrict it.

      5. There are claims the new leader of the TTP will be this man:

The man in brown in the middle, Umar Khaled Khurasani.

He is a Safi Pashtun so obviously has connections to fellow Safi tribesmen in Kunar in Afghanistan and elsewhere.

His nickname of "Khurasani" is not based on Pashtun culture but on alleged ahadith refering to the Khurasan region which is located between Iran and Afghanistan.

I don't know what this means, but to be honest I don't think it's good news for Pakistanis. Killing one individual when the TTP is a whole organization whose members actually yearn to die (martyrdom) is not going to make much of a difference and will sabotage the peace talks Imran Khan was pushing for.

Also there will definitely be ferocious retaliation from the Mehsud tribe, or that part of it linked to Hakimullah.

*However I will say there have been previous claims of Hakimullah's death which were later proven to be bogus, so we will have to wait to see if he has finally been killed.

It looks like unfortunately this destructive war in Waziristan which has made more than a million Pashtuns refugees and killed tens of thousands, thus destroyed hundreds of thousands of families is going to continue.

Let's make du'a that the war in Waziristan ends.

so how does that equate afghanistan being in the stone age because an afghan supports a pakistani that leads a pakistani group that kills pakistanis?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Forces fighting against Taliban whose leader is now murdar are also Muslims. The real kaafirs are Taliban who are bringing bad name to the peaceful religion of Islam.

You blame Pakistani Taliban, but not Afghan Taliban? hypocrite? I think so... I know you are an Afghan so stop thinking like a Pakistani who gladly support a continues bloodshed in Afghanistan, but not in Pakistan.

Have you ever heard the famous saying ''your enemies enemy is my friend''
In this case it is ''your enemies friend is your enemy''. Pakistan cant play double game, they have to pick side. You either with the Taliban or with the USA.

USA were and still using Pakistan like a prostitute. Pakistani Taliban did the right thing and tried to save Pakistan from humiliation. If anything every Pakistani should be thanking Pakistani Taliban.

Khan Saeed appointed new TTP chief

PESHAWAR: Khan Saaed alias Sanjna has been appointed new chief of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) after the killing of Hakimullah Mehsud in a US drone attack on Friday in North Waziristan, sources said.

Hakimullah Mehud was killed along with his aides identified as Tariq and Abdullah, when a US drone fired missiles in Danday Darpa Khel area of North Waziristan tribal region.

Pakistan’s foreign office has strongly condemned the drone strike that killed at least six people.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has termed the recent US drone attack an attempt to sabotage Pakistan’s efforts to hold talks with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Funeral prayers of Hakimullah Mehsud will be offered in North Waziristan at 3:00 pm Saturday, sources said.

                              De Bannu Daalkhor ke Bachee,

                              what is your problem here?

Every group will seek help and assistance from it´s enemy´s enemy.
The same was the case when NDS and TTP started to have contacts.

If Khinziristan, formerly known as Pakistan, can play this game why not stone-age Afghanistan?
                              The only constant is change.
