  • Hussein Haqqani exposes Pakistani hypocrisy

‘Magnificent Delusions’ of US-Pakistan relations – The Express Tribune

Q: Why do you believe Pakistan supports militant groups?
A: As far as terrorism is concerned, Pakistan was the conduit of weapons and training for the war in Afghanistan against the Soviets. After that, Pakistan switched it to India, especially in Kashmir. And that is the point at which the United States said “You are engaging in terrorism”. The Pakistani response was “But we started it together”.
The problem is that the “pro-jihadi” narrative has become so mainstream that it is very difficult for any government to … put all fighters out of business. But Pakistan would not find peace without putting all of them out of business.

Q: Why is this happening now?
A: The whole idea of building a nation around religious nationalism has backfired. What has happened is that religious nationalism has only produced extremism. If Pakistan were to be an Islamic state, the question arises “What kind of Islamic state?” We are now in a virtual civil war between various sects and militias attached to these sects who don’t tolerate each other.
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

    1. The regular "Pakistan" army subcontracted fighting and terrorism to "Jihadist" militia groups in different areas such as Kashmir and Afghanistan.

These irregular fighters were more than happy to die and were not part of the regular "Pakistan" army so GCHQ in Rawalpindi were more than happy to use them to kill and be killed.

    2. The problem is, is that sponsoring such extremist groups has now come back to sting the Punjabi "Pakistan" army with these militants killing "Pakistani" soldiers.

    3. As correctly pointed out in the post above, if "Pakistan" (land of the pure) becomes an "Islamic state", what sort?

    - Deobandi?
    - Wahabi?
    - Barelvi?
    - Jamaati?

The Pakistani dictator, Zia ul Haq, supported the Deobandis and the "Pakistani" army supports the militant Sunni Deobandis (which makes it easier to work with their allies the Saudis), however this provoked a reaction from Iran which helped Shia groups, which then scared the Sunnis and Arabs who then created the SSP in Punjab (Sipah i Sahapa i "Pakistan", Punjabi terrorist group that murders Shias).

"Pakistan" can use Islam to try and keep its artificial state together but the focus on Islam then makes people focus on their own type of "Islam" and causes sectarian bloodshed.

My prediction is that Coca-Cola which is older than "Pakistan" will continue, whilst "Pakistan" will not and will experience a Yugoslavia style break up, insha'Allah.

Coca-Cola in "Pakistan" (land of the pure). The Coke company will probably continue while Pakistan, like an unfresh Coke drink will fizzle out i.e. break up.
