Turks are probably the most nationalistic group of people on earth.

However this is not natural nationalism inherent in their culture but state induced.

What I mean is this.

Take Turks away from Turkey and raise them in the UK for example they are different. Some of the Islamic-orientated Turks in the UK have far less nationalism, prejucide than most other Muslims. They themselves dislike the extreme nationalism of people in Turkey.

Turkish nationalism which is extreme, chauvinistic and very aggressive (they themselves are a very aggressive race, in some ways more aggressive than the Arabs) is the way it is because from day 1 in school Turks are indoctrinated in to hard core nationalism, and also taught how they must save Turkey from being destroyed as it would have been done according to the Sevres Treaty.

Turks are educated to idolize dictator Mustafa Kemal from a young age.

Iranian arrogance is natural and inherent in their culture and not due to the education system, i.e. if an Iranian goes through UK schooling but is socially an Iranian he will still have the Iranian arrogance and deluded superiority complex that people from that Mullah-run country have.

Some of them are though. I was having an argument with an Indian on a anthropology forum and he started to say how pashtuns were related to Indians which clearly showed his nationalistic side.

Nationalism in muslim countries rised becuase arabs want to arabize all of the muslim nations, and want them to be culturaly like arabs. Without nationalism Pashtu language would have died out a long time ago.
