Every election is determined by the people who show up at the ballot boxes. Going to the ballot boxes in April 5, 2014 would be another golden opportunity for all eligible Afghans, especially women, to go to the voting polls and cast their votes. Presidents are selected, not elected. We encourage all eligible Afghans to participate in upcoming Presidential and provincial elections.
As President Karzai said “"Elections are the strength and stability of Afghanistan and there should be no doubt whether or not the elections will be held on time."
The international community, along with Afghans, has em-placed the foundation for prosperity and growth in Afghanistan. It would be wise to build upon these gains and move closer to the goal of a free and prosperous Afghanistan.
This is what John Kerry has said about Afghanistan’s elections: “Washington will not interfere in Afghanistan’s upcoming presidential election nor will it support any of the candidates directly.”
In your opinion what would be the greatest concern of Afghans during elections?
