In the former east Pakistan even more objective West Pakistanis now say that the West Pakistani officials used to treat the local east Pakistani citizens in a humiliating and subhuman way.
Badlun dismisses the racist treatment of Bengalis by West Pakistanis by placing the blame exclusively on Ayub Khan and Bhutto, but what about Yahya Khan (military dictator in 1971), Tikka Khan (a Punjabi and "Butcher of Balochistan), Niazi etc?
The truth is the northern Indian Muslims even before partition never liked Bengalis and considered them inferior and this continued with Jinnah, Liquat Ali Khan etc. East Pakistan was used as a cash cow. The eastern wing was a net exporter whilst the wet was a net importer. The money from the east was then taken (stolen basically) to fund the west whilst Bengalis lived in poverty.
Badshah Khan (rahmatullahi 'alaih) was pro-Bengali and donated money to the 1970 flood in east Pakistan which killed 1/2 a million people and the West Pakistani regime did nothing about. Wali Khan rescued a Bengali diplomat's son. Is this is not true Muslim behaviour and Islamic?
Many/most Punjabis do not like Bengalis to this day and they hate us more than we hate them. Just go give you a small indication. Go to any Pakistani military youtube video, you will never see a Bangladeshi visiting it or insulting Pakistanis.
Most of the Bangladeshi military videos on Youtube have a Pakistani coming in and swearing at and abusing Bangladeshis.
Other than that I could say a lot more about Punjabis and what they are really like in contrast to Badlun's angelic potrayal of them.
