  • Would you like to live under Taliban rule?

I see a few people here support the Taliban and believe them to be a very good form of government, but yet these individuals seemed to have left Afghanistan to settle in the West, either while the Taliban were in power or before or after that. I feel that the Taliban implement unnecessary laws.

I for one would probably not want to live in such a repressive society.

To those who support the Taliban, why would you like to live under their rule?

Why don't you go to one of the Taliban-controlled districts in Afghanistan to experience how life is over there?

I would be particularly surprised if any female says she wants to live in such a place under Taliban control.

Many people have also said that there were positive aspects of their governance, but they banned almost anything which is remotely "fun".

Taliban are better than any other form of government we have seen in the last 40 years in Afghanistan. They are closer to Islam than any other government in Afghanistan.

But they are not the ideal type of government. Not because they are repressive but because they lack competencies to govern appropriately.

I agree that they had good intentions but were largely incompetent.

However, they did have many bogus laws.

No they were failures, like all the others in the past 40 years.
