If Afghans are against killing of people, then I would say that they are doing the right thing. We as Muslims should object against any kind of insjutice, tyranny and violence against innocent people.

But sadly, that is not what Afghans are protesting for. They are there to express their support for that little zindeeq Mursi. Which is despicable.

On WHat basis do you say he is a Zindeeq? This is a serious accusation.

zindeeq as in preaching misguidance. Not zindeeq as in being a disbelieving hypocrite.

There are a number of issues with Mursi.

First of all, he negates things that are from Shariah. Example:

And then there are a number of issues such as double-speak. He talks differently when addressing different audiences. When it suits his interests, he is a democrat and a republican. Otherwise he is an Islamist preaching Shariah law.

Aside from this, there are scholars who have declared him a kafir.

                  @ afg-musafir

this is just typical propaganda by the State Department to justify their meddling in Egyptian Politics; Muslim Brotherhood are the most moderate Group in the world today whether secular or Islamic.

In fact Muslim Brotherhood have disavowed former Members of the Muslim Brotherhood who have taken up extremist approaches such as Ayman Al-Zawahiri; The Muslim Brotherhood are completely exonerated from the actions of former members who strayed to extremism. They even condemned the Taliban for their actions. Go to their website and read their edicts.

Your statement shows that you have not done any reading or research and thus are merely spouting fallacies to defame them.

                  @ Shamlawar

Mursi does not deny that there is a legal pronouncement for penalizing a thief in Islam; but what he has done is essentially given a Moratorium on it. Even Khalifa Umar Ibn Khattab(ra) declared a moratorium on this. Would you claim that he's a zindiq too on that accord?

Remember, it was the egyptian people themselves who elected the Muslim brotherhood so they should blame nobody but themselves for the mess they caused. A government can't do everything in one year. It takes approximately a few years to fulfill the needs of their people so they should be more patient.

And like khostai said, we should no be sticking our nose in other countries affairs.

This is a typical modernist way of thinking. Total disregard for principles of Sharia.

First of all, in Islam we differentiate between General Rulings and Specific Rulings. In this case: general ruling is: physical punishments are part of Islam. Specific ruling is, exception from a general ruling in extraordinary situations provided that the one who is moving away from the general ruling is:

                      1. a mujtahid scholar
                      2. a legitimate ruler of the Muslims

In case of Umar ibn al Khattab radiallahu anhu making an exception, we have:

a general ruling being temporarily cancelled for a specific, necessary and legitimate reason.

In case of Modernists like Tariq Ramadan, the Azhar school and Ikhwanul Muslimeen:

A general ruling to be cancelled in order to please people, especially the international community being critical of Islamic law for it being against concocted human rights laws only applicable when non-Western entities violate them.

This is why modernists are not working to benefit Islam and the muslims, but rather they are the proxies of non-Muslims serving their interests and destroying Islam from within.

Say what you want but is has been established by the scholars of Fiqh that a Wazir can do such a thing; and Mursi in the Islamic understanding is essentially a Wazir

In Qanun Al-Fiqh it speaks of maslaha wa istislah and these types of judgement fall under that; it has been used traditionally.

If anything it is more recent to have such a rigid and narrow view of Shari'ah and Hudud

Exactly my brother. You in nutshell have spoken volumes.

Politics has nothing to do with religion. Afghanistan is suffering after the withdrawal of erstwhile USSR because of mixing religion with politics. Mujahideen and Taliban should not be our politicians.

Akhwans and Jamate Islami may run mosques but not states.

Ikhwanis should run states and mosques It is incorrect Taliban with Ikhwan; Ikhwan are much more sophisticated and educated. Most Ikhwan leaders have advanced PhD's Let's avoid ignorant claims by affiliating Deobandis with Ikhwan.

Religion and Politics by their nature are impossible to separate because religion has powerful influence on People and for Politicians to be able to relate to The people's interests they'll need to submit politics to religion ultimately the People will revolt against them just like they did in Afghanistan.

This is why Ikhwanis are best qualified to run states and mosques; because Unlike Secularists ..they understand their population and unlike Taliban; they have an understanding of the modern world. Ikhwan is the perfect balance.
