Karzai seeks delisting of Taliban leaders
    from UN terror list

    ================================================== ====

Afghan President Hamid Karzai plans to seek the removal of up to 50 former Taliban officials from a UN terrorism list in a bid to advance reconciliation talks with insurgents, The Washington Post reported. Officially, the Karzai government has set pre-conditions for any peace talks with insurgents, saying that militants first would have to renounce violence, accept the Afghan constitution, and rescind ties with "international terrorist groups."

But citing an unnamed senior Afghan official, the newspaper said has the diplomatic outreach to the Taliban had taken on renewed urgency in recent weeks as Karzai has begun to press for a political settlement to Afghanistan's nearly nine-year-old conflict. The United States is assisting Karzai in the process. However, the diplomatic overtures have met resistance from UN officials, who are demanding more evidence that the individuals in question have renounced violence, The Post said.

he should be worried about himself being on the hitlist. The likelihood of him getting killed for his crimes against Islam and Afghanistan is much higher.

As If Your Taliban Warlords never received America Training one point in their life. Stop using Islam in everything you say.

Hamid Gul,Col Imam, Sami Ul Haq, General Baig and co should be put on the UN terrorist List with their children Mullah Omar, Mullah Sangeen and co.

You Know Sangar, You are like a brick wall, nothing goes through you.

Taliban were and still are Proxies of ISI. Col Imam is their daddy, Taliban oppose progresssion and support an Ideology that was invented by ISI.

Wouldnt that be a crime against Islam,or in your view Talibs are immune to it?

As if a Talib crosses the borders, gets fed and armed without Pakistan helping them hahaha.

      Kind Regards

We support Ulas Mashar Hamid Karzai in all his efforts to bring peace and stability to Afghanistan. We condemn those who seek to destroy the Afghan State and turn it into a Punjabi proxy.

Ulas Mashar Karzai is no such thing. He has brought peace and stability to Afghanistan. He has a great contribution to the re-structuring and revival of the Afghan State.
And I would request you not to use cliches like 'American Stooge'. Please provide concrete points.

Whateva, if it bring peace to Afghanistan, then whats harm in it. Lets see the reaction of Taliban and the crafting of formula set to enjoin them. Its a good news atleast to start process for the end of more blood spill.

Well i dont think so. Bring anyone who can bring peace to Afghanistan. Peace in Afghanistan is very much crucial to Pakistan by anyway. But its a fact that Taliban represent a large population of Pakhtoon in Afghanistan.

By this token they represent a large chunk of Pashtunkhwa. Peace in Afghanistan is crucial to the entire region..peace is crucial to NATO as well. The question is at what cost does this "peace" come at? Peerangyaan ka daltha pathae shee nu dagha istiqlaal ae noro pa laass daa ao ka nur mulkoona ham mudakhilathoona kaee nu ham da Afghanistan isthiqlaal larro.

This type of peace is like a person who buys slaves and says oh see my slaves are well fed and well tamed. So what? They are still slaves.

We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.

If I agree with you we w'd both be wrong.

I just said PEACE in either way Ladies and Gentlemen. Leave Pakistan phobia thougts for a while. Do you all suggest that NATO should kill all Taliban even if it avoidable. Do sense prevails ? Defeating Taliban or any insurgency, specially against foreign occupiers, has zero chance. So better if they brought in a democratic government, where all factions should have their representation. So there is very little chance arise of proxy or puppet thing.
If relations of Afghanistan and Pakistan growing stronger, doors for much more trade will open and will lead to establishment of links with CAR's. If there is an agreement sought with India for a trade through border, will benefit Afghanistan, Pakistan, as well as India due to cost reduction and transit fee.
