Afghan National Security Forces not only fight the Taliban and insurgents they also respond to natural disasters all over Afghanistan. These soldiers deserve recognition not only from their superiors but also from Afghan people. Supporting these heroes will fulfill desire of Afghans towards a peaceful, stable and united Afghanistan.
Afghan National Army soldiers from 1st Brigade, 203rd Corps, distribute grains and other assistance items to flood victims during a humanitarian assistance mission at the Monduzzi District Center in Khowst province July 22. Government officials asked for help from the security forces after severe flooding killed two individuals and destroyed thousands of acres of farmland in mid-May. Throughout Ramazan, Afghan soldiers look for additional ways to support the less fortunate as a way of meeting the tenements of Islam.
