Wolesi Jirga again fails to OK education law | Pajhwok Afghan News

KABUL (PAN): Wolesi Jirga members, debating a draft law on higher education that has been delayed for seven years, on Wednesday once again clashed over the expressions used for university and academic ranks in Pashtu and Dari languages.
The draft law, having 72 articles and seven chapters, was sent to the lower house of parliament by the Justice Ministry seven years ago. There have been verbal and physical clashes among MPs during debates over Dari and Pashtu expressions.
The Independent Oversight Commission on Implementation of the Constitution, Commission on Higher Education and Academic Affairs and the Supreme Court have sent letters to the Wolesi Jirga panel to preserve Article 16 of the Constitution regarding national expressions.
Some MPs insist university should be called “Danish Kadah” in Dari and faculty “Danish Gah.” They call for using Dari words for academic designations instead of Pashto.
But others want Pashtu terms like “Pohantoon” for university and “Pohanzai” for faculty. Similarly they suggest “Pohyalai, “Pohanyar”, “Pohanmal”, “Pohandwe and “Pohand” for academic ranks.
Last month, the lower house decided to approve other clauses of the law and sent the controversial articles to the Academy of Sciences and other relevant departments to find a solution to the disputed clauses.
The house also asked the education and higher education commission to suggest changes to the clause three and present its recommendations before lawmakers.
The panel’s chief, Hilai Irshad, said some controversial clauses had already been approved by the house and only those regarding Danish Kadah, Pohanzai, Danish Gah and academic ranks remained unapproved.
She said a joint meeting of house commissions had agreed on the content and there would be no problem in approving the clauses.
Some lawmakers said they had agreed with replacing the term Pohantoon with higher education institute. They said the constitution had no mention of Pohantoon as a national terminology.
But Irshad replied: “You earlier said no one can remove the expression Pohantoon. We should decide about the term Danish Gah, which should be sent to academic research institutions.”
Other lawmakers, who also attended the joint meeting, claimed nothing had been discussed or agreed upon replacing Pohantoon with higher education institute.
Some MPs suggested the subject should be handed over the higher education ministry to prepare a draft and send it to the house.
Second deputy speaker, Mohammad Saleh Saljooqi, who presided over the session, ruled the house would consider the two views.
After his remarks, a number of lawmakers rose from their seats and started trading harsh words with each other.
The house administrative board officials and MPs were unable to calm the situation and Saljooqi announced the house could not take a decision because lawmakers were not sitting on their benches. He said the issue would be taken up in the next session.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

This is the price we are paying because of you talib *******s. Had it not been for the insecurity perpetrated in pashtun areas such as ghazni where we are 70% and lost all 11 parliament seats to Hazaras, similarly we could have gained another 5 seats in herat, and roughly about another 10-15 seats in north and other areas with mix populace. now we only about 40% of the parliament, merely the largest minority. In the previous parliament when talibs were on the run and could not threaten the electoral turn out we had about 51+% representation where we could at least defend our national character.

Even if the parliament passes the iranian words, the president can still reject it. It will revert back to the house and then it would require 2/3 of the entire house's approval for it to overrule president's rejection. We will then see if KARZAI remains a true Afghan and will take decision in the defence of our national interests against this contempo onslaught against our national character by an illegitimate parliament.

In the fraud riddled parliamentarian elections we even lost seats in Wardak, Helmand, and Uruzgan as well where we are absolute majority and in any fair and inclusive credible legitimate election this would never have happened. Majority forced into minority, enjoy putting up with the tyranny of minority pack of wolfs, the king of jungle shot and wounded by a hunter to their mercy

I already answered you dumbshyt, learn to read between the lines.

                        1. your baighyrat Karzai has endangered the afghan people by accepting the US bases thereby making afghansitan a nuclear target by Russia, China, Pakistan, and a potential nuclear Iran. Your giving bases to a country that has abandoned you twice in 1989 and 2002.
2.He is not a legit leader by admitting to be on the payroll of the CIA and the Iranian intelligence, who know who else is paying him to sell his people. In other countries this is treason.
                        3. he was to baighyrat to go with his instincts by bending over for bush when he(Karzai) wanted to make a formal peace with the talis back in 2002.
                        4. your defence minister is an admitted child molestor.
                        5. your ANA are admitted child molestors and rapists.
                        6. you cant protect your own people from foreign troops (nothing like this can be said by any other nation.)

                            pure comedy
                            thanks for the laugh

karzai himself said "afghanistan wa iran hamzaban"

why are blaming everything on taliban? it were taliban who had implemented pashto language not Speezai.

this whole parliament, government and system are against Afghan interest and against the identity of Afghanistan.

not just that but karzai has been the main force behind destruction of Pashtuns and Pashto. His closest allies are some of the most anti Afghan individuals.

his vice president is saying that they arent Afghans but Afghanistanis and they are hanging khomeini posters all over the capital. no where in history this happend or was possible , but thanks to the pupet and the pupetmasters now Afghans and particulerly Pashtuns are being left without rights and a say.

keep also in mind the ones who massacred pashtuns in thousands people such as dostum are the closest allies of karzai.

shujayee has been protected bij him after he massacred pashtuns and gang raped their mothers, sisters and wives.

khushal dont waste your time on papertiger nationalists.
