And funny how all of you want sources. Us having lived with these retards and witnessing this retardedness is not good enough. Good thing no one depends on you non fresh off the boat idiots to bring about change..
fresh off the boat? remember that wrod you did not know the meaning of "takabur"= snob. That statement describes you as a snob.

Chennai temporarily banned kites in 2006 after an eight-year-old boy died when string caked in glass powder cut into his neck, and again in 2007 after a similar incident

Some other accidents might happen e.g once my kite got stuck in electrical wires, i jerked it violently, the two wires, hot and cold, came into contact and huge electrical spark occured and electricity of entire mohallah went off.
Others are making them sharper than you Luffy.

The kites that we used to fly in Afghanistan during that time were made of newspaper and plastic at home. The fancy strings and what not were popular in Pakistan. Not once did they mention banning it for safety issues. If air pollution was their priority, they wouldn't be burning stuff by piles in the corners of highways. And mind you, they did lots of stupid things too. Lets focus on that rather than banning kite flying.
There is a difference between the mentality of people who make their own people suffer by blowing off power poles made for their country by others and those who don't want pocket knives brought to school and in public. You can't compare Toronto banning kite flying with Taliban banning it.
If education was banned for security purposes ( which I know for a fact is a load of bull****,) then why were people shot to death for teaching in their basements secretly?? Why were women escorted off from the streets to marry men that they didn't know or want to marry for daring to step out to buy grocery with out the presence of a husband?? Why were they wiped on the feet like a herd of sheep for wearing shoes that showed their toes in public?? (Heck, even sheep have better rights these days.) Forget everything else, if they were not able to provide enough security in ten years for people to send off their children to school, why should anyone with the right mind and a brain in their skull want them in charge of a society?? People are known for the advancements they make in a short period of time, Afghanistan went to cave age on less than ten years. That right there is reason enough for not wanting to have them arôund.

but yeah...why were you raised in America?? Why aren't you living in a cave with your beloved ones?? why didn't your parent's find that environment suitable enough for you to be raised in??

Thanks khushal it makes sense. It seems as if a simple compromise would keep everyone happy and safe: no kite fighting/flying within the city limits. That's what we do here in Las Vegas with guns, you can either shoot at approved ranges or you have to drive about half an hour away to the open desert.

Problem would be solved if the usage of glas particles and glue on the kite threads are forbidden.

No animals or human beings would be harmed and it would end thos "kite fights" in the sky where one person tries to cut the rope of another kite and people would be still able to fly their kites.

            Problem solved(, if you agree.)

They say some so-called hauntings are impressions on the atmosphere left by intense emotional energy that inexplicably result in the replaying of a scene at random. While I don't believe in ghosts or hauntings - I do believe that RAWA suffers from a similar ailment.

We used to put "shurt" (juwa , gambling) with opponent in matches of kites......may be Taliban put ban on Kite flying due to gambling factor as it is haram in islam......

When they blasted more than 105 people in volleyball match , 2010 Lakki Marwat suicide bombing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, their excuse was that they targated them because gambling is involved in these matches............though the actual reason for blast was different, they did issue warning on the games where gambling was involved.

Another reason could be that they had taken inspiration from rightists of lahore who urged ban on basant for the reason that it is Hindu festival. They oppose kite flying season of basant even if normal thread is used for kite flying.

Taliban also banned chrag fight in Afghanistan...was it because of gambling factor or animal cruelty?.........

Some times i think we pashtuns can only be corrected with strong danda......too much violence in our society.....when i remember my childhood, it is violent....we used to make dogs fight with each other.....used to stone wandering dogs, in one instance i buried a dog alive for fun.....some men used to capture a boar some times in wilderness and all the people from surrounding areas were to be invited with dogs....Dogs were to be unleashed on the tied boar, killings of some dogs and slow and painful death of boar...and we used to enjoy watching it.....bullying of the weak ones and frequent quarrels.....Killings on small insignificant matters.......may be taliban went harsh in Afghanistan because pashtuns/afghans are "sakht" by nature?

This might be just another propaganda against taliban, why would Afghans taliban do it?.....like that taliban-blowing-up-girls-schools in pakistan propaganda......the fact is taliban attacked those school because pak army is usually stationed there....as girls school are usually not with much attendence, so army simply occupy it as they need building to station in the area....even during military operation they converts schools into morcha...in swat propaganda was spread that savage taliban have destroyed hundreds of schools, but the fact is army first destroyed the infrastructure of area by air force bombardment and heavy shelling...then used school buildings for cover up and stay.
Same happened in landi kotel...in newspapers only the news that taliban are blowing up girls schools but reason was not stated that why they are doing it in the first?
In my area pak army is stationed in newly built district hospital with trucks and tanks, which has huge and secur building and area, patients had to go through tough security check....they not evacuated it, they are using them as human shield...if taliban attack army in hospital then patients would die in cross fire but taliban would be held entirely responsible.
