Even if he can strong arm the Army and withdraw from the tribal belt, I doubt the TTP would be interested in peace talks now since they have the upper hand now. They don't need the tribal belt for sanctuary anymore, since the Americans are leaving Afghanistan, they can use Afghan territory as sanctuary to attack the Pakistani state. Its too late to correct mistakes, its a big mess.

They don't need to use KP as a sanctuary? A sanctuary in what sense?

not KP, Im talking about FATA. A sanctuary where they can train, organize and launch attacks and have a safe place to regroup much like how the afghan taliban use pakistan for that purpose. The leverage the Pak military had to offer peace was so the TTP would have a safe place, but the TTP have other options right now.

Pakistan army is trapped in FATA, they need to exit it gracefully, that would be through imran khan, if he formed the governament....but like Khushal said talibans wont be interested in peace talks.
And very interesting point by khushal which he also mentioned in another thread, TTP would have sanctuary in Afghanistan after american withdrawl....

Talibans are belong to ISI.It is up to ISI when to stop them.
The pakistan army is not trapped in Fata. They have created this situation and can exit anytime they like.

Nope. Even the so called good talibans are unreliable for ISI/army. Haqqani network, hafiz gul bahadur group and maulvi nazir marhoom group have formed non-aggression pacts with army in waziristan because they are focused on Afghanistan against NATO. The mangal bagh of lashkar e islam was also pro-army uptill now but has now joined hands with TTP and are engaged in severe combat with army in Tirah...the highly trained punjabi talibans are creations of agencies for kashmir jihad, now they have turned against army.....it all happened due to wrong policies of faujis, they never thought it would back fire on them.
Army is trapped in the FATA in the sense that getting out of the area without eliminating talibans, would be considered defeat, and talibans are not defeated...they can not leave FATA on its own...8 years have passed and they are not able to finish TTP, pak faujis are panicking...when a fauji becomes angry, irritated and panicked what does he do? He takes revenge from innocent civilians of the area...enter into some one house and fire upon sleeping people there..that what happened in bara...the more this war is dragged on, pak army atrocities would intensify and from there begining of end would start !

The crucial point is: what will be the relations Imran develops with Mulla Omar? The Amir ul Momenin of IEA is the key to Afghanistan's and KP's future course.

Ending the US led war on terror means dialogue with the militants taking the people of FATA on board against the militants. And than those who refuse to talk an operation against them alongside with the people of FATA.

Imran in an interview told a Western Journalist, that all the world should want from Pakistan is that it must stop producing terrorism. We will make it sure our own way.

The only faith that depends on it is that of Afghanistan, the rest will be the same shi.t holes like they used to be.
