What would be the stance of TTP against PTI?...lets see

      1) Taliban not letting them to come out of their homes is a fact that we all need to accept. But what about in the past 5 years they not doing anything against it? Like imagine, how many times Asfandyar Wali Khan visited Charsaddah in the past 5 years? He wasn't even present on ground.

      2) I will simply love people of KPK for that. If PTI is unable to deliver they must be kicked out. I mean PTI isn't a Prophet's party sent by the Almighty?

      3) Yes, that will be very Important to see how the Talibans factor is going to play it's part. Secondly as PTI won't be in govt in the Federation unlike ANP so will the Federal and Provincial government both think likewise about the issue of 'Talibans'

But one thing I know for sure. Nawaz Sharif's era is going to be alot better than the era of Zardari.

I agree with you. Nawaz era would be better than zardari , atleast punjab would make some more progress...i am also looking forward to his bullet train. Who could be the CM of Kpk, pervez khattak? or some one else?

Nah no offence meant bro, I've tried to reason with Toramana too but he's always really angry and anger in words or expression its the most damning thing for your argument or even your point of view, no matter how right you may be. Again I meant no offense

It might be khattak or swati, Khan is probably gonna be with hashmi and qureshi in the assembly.

One good thing about this government will be that the opposition will be good atleast.

PTI has many things in common with PML-N so they would agree on many things but I wonder what kind of mess army might create for nawaz? He is very critical about army and ISI...

The pride that I have for my people cannot be expressed in words on these pages. I do not expect others to feel the same as I do.

You are an intelligent man Talal Sahab and maybe you did not mean it, but saying that you are proud of how KPK voted sounds a little patronising. Pashtuns rejected the hapless incompetence of the ANP, but had they chosen them, then the usual jibes about pro-secular, pro-India, Pakistan-rejectionists would have been made. That, despite of course the modern ANP being a very dilute version of Bacha Khan's principles. Luffy's earlier post showing the voting patterns of Pakhtunkhwa highlights how the province completely parts from Pakistan in that their vote goes beyond traditional loyalties. They are willing to give the democratic process a fairer chance. If PTI picked up the vote, then that creates credibility for the PTI. That should not be taken lightly.

                  • Definitely underestimated PTI...well credit where credit is due, they won. Congratulations. I don't support them, but lets see them walk the walk though.

I think you mistake the tone as patronising, I am proud of them because they unlike rest of the numbskull nation chose credible people and gave them a mandate to perform. My expression was very quizzical on your response to what I said but no my beef with ANP is not due to its nationalist agenda (frankly it has no nationalist agenda) my beef with ANP was because of their absolute detachment from the plight of the people and despite having their federal coalition in the center they were unable to stem out terrorism at any level. They showed absolutely no ownership, but unlike sindh or punjab where people get chosen based on family politics KPK showed it was class apart in terms of revolutionary thought, for that I am proud of them.

I fail to see patronization in that and though I respect you great deal as an informed member here, I think you misunderstood me.

                          • Even punjabis have started saying and apprecuating that the people of khyber pukhtunkhwa are more progressive minded and educated minded than the people of punjab and sindh.

                            • If PTI is forming a govt in KPK .. I wish Imran would contest from a PK seat and be the CM himself. Guys like Parvez Khattak won't be able to stop the wave of corruption.

He should leave the National Assembly in the hands of Hashmi .. He is credible and he can handle it.

As to why ? you only need to look at the last 5 years of their governance. Bilour himself said that people wanted change and they voted for it.

Poor performance???? What ANP did in the last 5 years in the province was never done by any other party here. They built 74 colleges and established 8 universities in 5 years while there were only 62 colleges and 4 universities before they took the government. Similarly they delivered in other field too. Now what was the cause of their failure? There are few major cause according to me which are the following :
                                1. The very first and important cause is the emotional and unstable behaviour of the people of Pakhtunkhwa. Their mindset completes one revolution in a span of 5 years. If we look at its history no one ruled here for successive tenures. ANP even under Wali Khan and Ajmal khattak never ruled successively. One time they grabbed seats the other time they loose. in 1988 they gained majority but in 1993 they failed in 1997 they formed government but in 2002 they were washed out by MMA again after five years they got full majority and washed out MMA now in 2013 again they were completely rejected and a new party PTI got majority.....so the psychology of the pashtuns is a major cause. In Mardan they did everything from Universities, colleges, schools, Roads, to Hujra’s and mosques were built but there too they only grabbed 2 provincial and 1 national assembly seat. Many people there whom I met acknowledged their services and sacrificed but with the word “che har sa ye manu kho mung change ghwaro”.(we acknowledge it but we want change)
                                2. Second important cause is the Taliban Factor. They were not allowed even to arrange corner meetings. Most of the candidates even hesitated to cast their vote less they should be targeted and many would die with them on the polling station. On the other hand their opponents took complete advantage of it, and spread their propaganda against them. Also here it’s some sort of custom if you don’t invite/urge anybody for assistance/vote they will never help you out even if he is your close relative. So this poisoned the situation more against them because the people wanted every candidate to be on their doorstep and other parties cashed this.
                                3. Third important factor is the role of establishment and agencies. In 2014 U.S army is leaving Afghanistan and Pakistan is likely to continue insurgency in Kabul for that they wanted a Right wing party which is pro-Army and pro Taliban. They were strongly against ANP and PPP in the province. Last 5 years were the most difficult and crucial era that Agencies faced. Pakistan army was greatly exposed to international media.
ANP even during Musharraf strongly opposed the fencing of the border with Afghanistan and today Durand line is once again the bone of contention between the two countries. So they played their role by setting an environment quite suitable to PTI. They were given complete coverage on print and electronic media and propaganda’s against ANP and PPP were spread among common people. As soon as election date was announced ANP leadership came under the attack of militancy. It was a red signal for them to back out of their decision to contest the election. Knowing all this they decided to contest as they knew the situation was extremely bad for the pashtuns on both sides of Durand line. Also on polling day in most of constituencies Army personals affected the procedure. On NA-9 where Haider Hoti contested his success was crystal clear but the result was not announced till last night and the officials present there told the people that two army personals have disappeared who has the ballot boxes and in the meanwhile every news Channel was declaring PTI candidate as winner. The same case happened with other candidates in Swabi and Charsadda.

So if any body want to say that it was ANP poor policies and bad governance that resulted in their failure is not right. The bad governance and intra party tussles may have resulted only to 10 to 20% of their failure. People wanted change from the bad law and order situation and suicide blast which are the responsibility of the security agencies not ANP.
