That is evidence, ...something doesn't become "not evidence" just because Khushal says so.

Kandaharis had the problem resolved? Even the Taliban did bacha bazi because they ended up conscripting commanders who were known for it. That's in the study I referenced too.

So you clearly DID NOT read the study; If you had, you'd have known that was acknowledged. It seems like "All I've got" is more potent than everything you've mustered so far.

I've posted a study .....I'm not sure what you're talking about a "founders myth" but that has nothing at all to do with whether or not it is a wide spread accepted cultural practice. Talk about red herring.

Your argument is discredited on grounds of logical fallacy.
you said its part of pashtun culture so it should be widespread all over pashtunland, buts its not and I am waiting for evidence from you because YOU CLAIMED IT. So where is the evidence.

Are you chickening out again like you did in the other thread?

I read your telegraph source and this is what it says:
British forces were advised by a military study that paedophilia is widespread and culturally accepted in southern Afghanistan

It does not say widepsread all over pashtunland as you claim and where does it say about commanders being conscripted?

Southern Afghanistan is synonymous with Pashtun areas

Not really its just a small area. why ignore the other 99%(ish) of pashtunland.

Gladstonezai also aked you for those poems about spina something or other.

It seems like your chickening out again. Go ahead use your sophisticated googling skills to prove your claim which you lied about.

            • So I guess this map of the tribes of southern Afghanistan must be lying because Khushal has redefined what Southern Afghanistan means

lol Khushal's hair splitting antics have backfired.

He'lll still pay more attention to his wife and children and if he doesn't he's a horrible father . So either way you're setting up a scenario where dysfunctionality exists amongst Pashtuns either by hating women or by hating family responsibility.

Your explanation does not give any valid reasoning for why women are mistreated in Pashtun society; it merely tries to give a cosmetic candy coating to something horribly wrong.
Your a complete idiot. We already discussed this in the other thread and your repeating things that have been refuted. The son, his children, and his parents are like one family, the grandparents help in taking care of the grand kids. Everyone lives together and takes care of each other like a family. If you cant understand that, then you dont really know what a family is. They help each other emotionally and otherwise. ITs not the son taking care of everyone, its all mutual, they all need each other.

And yes I have provided an explanation in the other thread. we already talkied about this. We discussed the economics of it. Economics provides the means and makes it practical for more choices

                  your getting desperate again.
The study specifically says the study was done in kandahar and your trying to redefine kandahar as if its all of pashtunland.

Anna Maria Cardinalli, author of the report, said British officers requested the research in the summer of 2009 when she worked with them in Lashkar Gah.
yep Lashkar Gah is NOT in Kandahar. Thanks for proving to us you don't know much about Afghanistan. Makes sense since you're from Peshawar.

                    Talk about getting desperate.

You're repeating stuff which logically doesn't demonstrate anything or indicate anything contrary to the Pashtun hatred of women. RESPONDING back is not a refutation;. You've merely rationaized why Pashtuns do these things; you haven't shown how they're any way valid. So it cannot be a refutation because there is NO logical validity behind your explanation. I've already pointed out why previously.

That was my point and the reason I come to this forum. To explain why things are the way they are.
I never said they are valid from an ethical standpoint. My refutation is against your claims that human beings(pashtuns in this case) hate the female members of their group. I dont see any evidence that an afghan is going to hate or love their mother, sister, daughter any more or less than an american which is what you claim.

But you specifically on the other hand do hate women. The way you respond to Faye is disgusting and the way you hit on underage girls on this forum is not only disgusting but unacceptable in the country you live in. The soft porn videos you post on this forum is another slap in the face against respect for women.

to say a blank 'pashtuns hate women' seems illogical and not evidence based. why are you unable to talk about pashtunwali and pashtuns without being an extremist?
i can only assume this must be from your bad personal experience within your family and misogyny, within yourself.
since you are obsessed with bacha bazi and pedophilia, is this also from your personal experience of being abused as a child and your own inner turmoil?

We are not talking about whether the parent cares about their daughter or not, that's a different issue, we are talking about the child leaving the home. This is a very emotional time for the family, especially for the parents.
Actually that depends on a lot of things. In the west a married afghan couple might go and live together somewhere else but close to their parents. In Afghanistan it is different since it is the norm there. Not every body wants to live with their parents, since new weds need to start there own family most of the time. Also a Pashtun woman is allowed to visit her parents after marriage.
