In reality, other than Kandahar, Logar and shamali, its is not widespread. I have already debated this RTR and he could not show any evidence to the contrary in the other thread. It is not part of the culture and his own source in the other thread points to the fact that British authors that had wrote about it in the 1800's have concluded that it is a founders myth in the whole of afghanistan. This practice came from somewhere else.

The enablers are being protected by NATO, an outside power. The afghans themselves had the problem under control and the execution of the enablers was a fact. So afghans that want to get rid of this are being bombed so it can continue, so in this regard, NATO who self proclaims itself the champion of human rights are actually preventing human rights by protecting the enablers.

We are not talking about whether the parent cares about their daughter or not, that's a different issue, we are talking about the child leaving the home. This is a very emotional time for the family, especially for the parents.

i pity you or anyone else who believes that it's okay for a parent to love a child (or any other person loving someone else ) based on how much support they will get from them some day. i am not a parent but i know for a fact that that is not how it works between a child and a parent in pashtun or any other culture. if it does work that way then it's wrong. there is no point in justifying something that is wrong or promoting it. and it's embaressing for me to witness someone like you telling the rest of the world that pashtuns love their male children more for selfish reasons such like that.

You have a mouth like some deranged aunty, anything you talk about from any topic whether it be politics, islam or pashtun culture is full of shiit and you stand alone on your views, man up with your bitchiness essays kata surra.
No I am being confident; YOU are being inconfident because you need others to reassure you. See how confidence works? Confidence means YOU DON'T need that. Not needing other people. You Pakistanis always have things in reverse than how they're normally supposed to be

Look at me? No a bitch boy says "hey guys ...please reassure me ...I need your support, please guys come to my rescue ....tell me I'm Pashtun" THAT is what a bitch boy does. You're quite an expert at this too.

Well in your min being single means "not having a boy to play with" so I'm not in the least bit insulted by you. .....Real men ALWAYS stand alone; weak men need others for affirmation. ....Not even all the steroids you use has given you a mahood.

Actually I did; I showed the study about it; you just conveniently sidestep any evidence that is inconvenient for you to acknowledge.

huge difference than not having evidence.

            • Khushal keeps digging himself into a bigger hole, no matter how he tries to redress the issue he still shows that Pashtuns hate women.

                not amongst Pashtuns eh?

well not amongst THIS Pashtun at least. How do you explain why guys like Khushal get anxious or uncomfortable whenever women are mentioned? Bacha Bazi.
I have already debated this issue with you and you chickened out and lost. You could not provide evedence that it is part of pashtun culure and widespread in afghanistan. Its just in KAndahar, Logar and Shamali. Your own source written by a British author in the other thread confirmed it as a founders myth in afghansitan. your bringing the same arguments that have already been refuted, an you claim to be educated. Your a joke.

I didn't chicken out you side stepped. Please stop trying to rewrite events in your favor. All you ever do is side step. Even Randolph can corroborate this.

I've posted a study .....I'm not sure what you're talking about a "founders myth" but that has nothing at all to do with whether or not it is a wide spread accepted cultural practice. Talk about red herring.

Your argument is discredited on grounds of logical fallacy.

Nope, read my post and read the study, your study confirmed what I said and have been saying. Your study was conducted in kandahar and I already had said it is in KAndahar. I dont need a study to tell me where it is and where it is not. I know afghanistan unlike you. Its also in logar and shamali which your study had failed to mention. This practice also exists in panjab and sindh, your study also forgot to mention this as well.

Nope you brought up some irrelevnt issue of founders myth; where something is founded and the cultural prevalence of something are two completely different issues.

Ah I see you're claiiming your ownself as a personal anecdotal evidence; We've caught you several times lying and also being outrightly wrong about everything you have said about Afghanistan. Your testimony does not count. You know Afghanistan just as well s Rick James knew sobriety.

nope, you have not provided evidence that it is widepsread. you have only provided a study that was conducted in kandahar and I am not denying it exists in kandahar. I am denying it is widespread with pashtuns and I am denying that it is part of pashtun culture. bring forth the evidence if you have it.

Kandahar is the cultural center of Pashtuns; so that says a lot in itself

I wonder what Gladztonezai will say if you ridicule his Shaista Kandahar lol

Thats all you got. I though you had evidence. let me know when you get it.

I thought Gladestonezai was an american, and kandaharis had the problem resolved pre 911 not just in kandahar but the whole country. The invaders(outsiders) brought the custom back, this again plays into my argument that it is not pashtun culture.

We know what you said Khushal' but it still adds up to the same thing; Resenting females and giving unjustified privilege to the males. A male lives in the same house? So what? He'lll still pay more attention to his wife and children and if he doesn't he's a horrible father . So either way you're setting up a scenario where dysfunctionality exists amongst Pashtuns either by hating women or by hating family responsibility.

Your explanation does not give any valid reasoning for why women are mistreated in Pashtun society; it merely tries to give a cosmetic candy coating to something horribly wrong.
