ideas and information are often labelled as conspiracy theories when they are the truth, by those who don't want the truth known. people are labelled as conspircy theorists, when they are telling the true, to try to delegitimise their information, by those who are ignorant and haven't done their homework, or those who don't want the truth to be exposed.

it's not about my smartness, it's about your dumbassness. actually, it's not even that, it's your laziness. i can't spell the simplest things but before i put forward a piece of writing in front of someone else, i make sure i have double checked everything and though it's a slow process, i do get to learn things eventually. google a word if you don't know for sure how it's should be spelled. it makes it seem like you care. i often make lots and lots of spelling mistakes and it's very obvious to most of the users here.
your inability to spell wrong is not your dumbassness. your dumbassness is telling yourself and convincing others that it's okay for you to put zero effort in to fixing that problem.

I fail to see how letting your imagination run wild and believing in an elaborate stage of events with the most tenuous evidence would be thinking for yourself in fact that would be the opposite.

People who are saying conspiracy theorists "know the uncomfortable truth" that everyone else are "afraid" to admit are taking real liberties with the word Truth here. Truth are things which are correct and actuality; with scant evidence the "uncomfortable truths" become not truths at all, but at best runaway speculation without much merit behind it.

So no conspiracy theorists aren't maligned because they "know" some secret hidden truth, that everyone is in mass denial about, they're maligned as conspiracy theorists because they make ridiculous claims which they can't back up.

If their claims were supportable then they wouldn't be "conspiracy theories" but Conspiracy Facts.
