Considering the other article posted on how 8 out of 10 polled Americans claim to dislike Afghanistan, you can bet you'd have some howling about that idea on this side of the pond as well. Also, I think the majority of Americans claim Christianity as their religion. Atheists are not stoned, but we aren't much liked either. As far as "wealth" goes, just look at what's happening with our finances. We are cutting out programs that benefit women and children and elderly and military. I seriously doubt we have the money or inclination to take over a territory halfway across the world.

Most Americans, sadly, probably don't really care what happens to Afghanistan, as long as they can still eat Chic-fil-A, get fat and judge everyone else that isn't a carbon copy of themselves.

Those of us who are a little bit enlightened wish for Afghanistan to be a whole country, able to import, export, travel and tour with the rest of us. We want y'all to be happy and healthy. We just don't know how to help you get there.

BUDDY Herat Ghor region was the first place the pashtun tribes settled. It is Pashtun land.

Buddy, Pashtun land ends at Ghor. Herat is a Persian speaking province with who's Farsi actually sounds like Irans Farsi.

Ahmad Shah Durrani was born in Herat, and about 10% of Herat is Pashtun, if i heard correctly...

                    False.

Ahmad shah Durani was born in Multan which is now in present day pakistan. From what i hear, Herat is mostly a Pashtun dominated province.
