Why do we include Balochistan in a hypothetical Pashtunistan?

When the rail way is built to Godar do you think many Pashtuns from Afg, who are looking for better opportunities, peaceful lands for their families, will head over to Balochistan? Or is it largely a wasteland? I ask because large families, unrestricted immigration, intermarriage and in a few generations the land is yours de facto.

Kind of like the current day American Southwest.

slightly off topic: one of my tarjuman told me that Balochis are great warriors, is there anything to this?

well naturally Baloch people want to submit to Pashtuns as their rightful masters. They're really fighting Pakistan not for their own welfare but so that Pashtuns can come on in and lord over them.

I hate to say it but your right.
Two things have to happen, its unstoppable. Migration happens from places of low opportunity to high opportunity and resources are diverted to where it is demanded unless intervened.
At one point, KP was not pashtun and America had no Europeans. As railway and roads are built, People will migrate to Baluchistan for the economic opportunity and the most likely candidates are pashtuns from Afghanistan and KP.

Most Baluchis in Baluchistan are fluent in Pashto, and if they weren't to tell you that they are Baluch, you'd swear they are Pashtun.

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

What about Balochistan of Iran and Balochs living in Afghanistan?

It is interesting that many Balochs descend either from Pashtuns or other ethnic groups and many of them speak Pashto, Sindhi, Punjabi and Persian as their mother tongue. I do not know who are original pure Balochs. In Balochistan we have Barohis and Makrani too who do not consider themselves Balochs.

The word Baloshistan as a province in Pakistan is misnomer as about 50% of it is Pashtun, 20-30% non Balochs like barohi and makrani etc.

The practical situation would be that Pashtuns in Balochistan and tribal reas join KP as an independent political unit.

I think on the whole Baluch look somewhat different from Pashtuns and once you know both groups properly, then you can tell them apart quite often.

I have seen lots of Baloch and Pashtuns in person, but that is not essential as there are enough of them to see online.

Not true. You can't even properly tell who is a Pashtun, since we too come in all different size and flavors.

I have seen Pashtuns that can pass for Punjabis, and I have seen Pashtuns that can pass for whites. It's really hard to categorize such a diverse ethnic group.
