  • Pakistan urges world not to interfere in Afghan affairs

    Saturday, July 03, 2010

UNITED NATIONS: While reaffirming its commitment to strengthening its friendly ties with Afghanistan, Pakistan on Friday urged the international community to stay engaged in the war-torn country without interfering in the country’s internal affairs.

“Long-term objectives of peace, stability and development in Afghanistan can only be realised by respecting its sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity,” Ambassador Abdullah Hussain Haroon told the UN Security Council. At the same time, peace and economic development was contingent upon a stable (Afghan) government, enjoying support of the majority people, he said.

Participating in a debate at the 15-nation council on the Afghan situation, Haroon said the communiqué issued by a peace jirga last month was an enabling document to formulate a national strategy for sustainable peace.

He supported local ownership of the challenges faced by Afghanistan and the momentum for dialogue and peace generated by the jirga.

Ambassador Haroon said the forthcoming parliamentary elections would also go a long way towards strengthening democracy, democratic institutions, as well as the governance in Afghanistan.

The major challenge in Afghanistan has been insecurity driven by insurgency and its exploitation by criminals and drug traffickers.

The latest report by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon noted that no great improvement in that area had occurred over the last three months.

“That is regrettable, but disappointments or stereotyping the conflict situation can breed complacency and must be avoided,” Ambassador Haroon said.

Pakistan is waiting for America to leave so it can take over the Afghanistan government and put their JIhadi Terrorist proxies such as Haqqani and Mullah Omar into power, Pakistan will then use Afghanistan like before to produce more Militant Jihadist groups to use and send to fight India.

Pakistan is a clearly obstacle towards world peace.

seriously? Pakistan sometimes reminds me of that bull with severe diarrhea in Rodeo clown shows.

Na gullae I am saying that Pakistan is blaming the intl. community of something they want or are doing the same. It is like me stealing my entire life only to lecture to others the sin that is theft. This is not to say they are the only ones doing i, but they seem be among it. Do you see where I am going with it?

Well in a way. They are not so much so interested in a weak legacy, we are just a strategic backyard to them, a counter against India. You notice among supporters of Pakistan in any discussion, it primarily revolves around India. That is a problem for us, because we are then used by multiple countries for their own interests.

Loll when your allies ask you to curb the problem then you know it is there. In fact two years ago on the onset of the Swat operation Mushashid Hussain mentioned that the Chinese were even complaining of such militants. It is on youtube go check it.
