1.India's SAIL leads a consortium of Indians who are saying they they will bag the largest untapped iron ore deposit in the world located in Afghanistan. SAIL says it will build a 600 km economic corridor to Iran under the deal. And a processing plant will be set up to provide local employment.

    2. India's Tata had pulled every string known to set up a steel plant in BD using our coal and gas. To a man all BD objected and they had to pack up. Indian MNC/capitalist raiders have similarly been thrown out of West Bengal. The main reason behind the Maoist insurgency in six states of India are these raiders.

    3. Let's see if Afghans will protect this huge national wealth from foreign companies.

Afghans should kick india out and make deals with friendly nations such as japan, korean,Bangladesh, brasil etc.

India is playing a double game here and plays politics to get to our resources,be it anti paki politics or anti Afghan politics by supporting northern alliance.

    NO TO INDIA

I generally wish for Afghanistan to have friendly relations with PK, BD, IND, but the last thing any nation wants is for it's resources to have bids in such turmoil conditions, where graft is at it's highest, and corruption is unparalleled. All friendly countries should wait for a secure Afghanistan, before they bid upon it's resources.

Just my dos pesos, perhaps Afghans bureaucrats know more than me.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Thats the thing isnt it, they can sell these ores for measly crores which will directly fill the coffers of everyone in the bureaucracy line. Maybe a JV between an Afghan state company would have been a better plan.

what i read was done in iraq, with an american in control, paul bremer, is hand out very long term, very cheap deals to mining and other companies.
he also brought in a regulation conducive to assisting agribusiness like monsanto and gm crops.

Well in Afghanistan's case I doubt the talibs would just let them have their way. India would be wise I think to provide adequate job opportunities to labourers and other skilled people otherwise I dont think the taliba would let them just loot it
