Can't you see why they would be angry and might feel betrayed? You don't have to agree with them of course but you should try to understand why they feel the way they do.

Can the son of relative of a Government or Army officer ever be a IDP?

Only time wil tell, once they face the reality then they will see.

First there is a big difference between IDPS from Swat and the ones from the Tribal Region.

    Kind Regards

Can you please tell me some of those. I think I know a few of the differences but obviously you know much more about this than I do. I think this topic deserves it's own thread if you wanna start it or is there one already? I looked but didn't see one.

          Idps from Swat

          1) had only one Major operation in the area
          2) Stronger Media Presence
          3) More Charities and aid work provided to them
          4) Better representation in government as its part of the settled area
          5) Singers and celebrities spoke on their behalf

          Idps from Waziristan

          1) No media representating them
          2) over 7 years of military bombardment and displacement
          3) No laws protecting their concerns as they are tribals
          4) over 200 Tribal elders slaughtered by Talib/Pak Army nexus
          5) 100's of tribal pashtuns died while fleeing the bombardment way before 2009 operation in the area
          6) Taliban ruling the area for more than 8 years while in Swat, they ruled for much less
          7) Political parties banned in this part of the region, so no government representing their rights

On the basis of treatment by other ethinicites, both groups of Pashtuns are equal in the sense that those from Swat were banned at first by Punjab and the Attock bridge was closed to them, Same can be said about those from Waziristan who were and continue to be subjected to abuse by Pakistan Army and Police, just by having the name Mahsud or Wazir, the individual is subjected to torture and suspious.

          Kind Regards
