  • Girl's School Blown up in Kohat

How many is it now? 500? 1000? Who's keeping count?

KOHAT: A government primary school for girls was destroyed when a bomb planted near the building went off in Tirahwaal area of Kamal Khel on the outskirts of Kohat city on Friday.

“The building was completely destroyed when five kilogrammes of explosives planted in a plastic canister detonated,” said SHO Aqiq Khan of Billitang police, talking to The Express Tribune.

The bomb was planted by unidentified assailants. He said that a huge explosion occurred around 10:45pm. The boundary wall of the school and three classrooms were destroyed.

Residents informed the police about the explosion, after which the police reached the site and collected evidence, the SHO said.

A nearby electricity transformer was also destroyed due to the explosion, plunging the area into darkness. The watchman was absent when the incident occurred.

A case has been registered with the police.

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

    Why blow up schools? Why?
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

an ignorant population is easier to control

look what they did to Malala, just because she wanted to go to school and advocated going to school.

Its pathetic blowing up schools. Where in Islam does it say a girl can't have a education?

Where in Islam does it say suicide is halal?

            yes they have:
            http://www.theatlantic.com/internati...d-girl/263429/

But according to Ahmed Rashid, The TTP now have sanctuaries in Kunar and Nuristan which they can plan and launch attacks against the Pakistani state the same way Haqqani have sanctuaries in North Waziristan to plan and launch attacks on the Afghan State. Neither ISAF nor the pakistani military are doing anything about those sanctuaries on their respective sides of the border. The shooting of Malalai seems to be playing into the CIA/NDS hands to put public pressure on the Pakistani State to lauch military operations in North Wazirstan. The young girl is being used as a pawn in the CIA/NDS and ISI's chess game.

malalai is old news, it wasn't exactly 9/11. it doesn't really play into anyones hands when everyone forgets about it, like when that iranian woman was shot in tehran a few years back. who remembers that today?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

well obviously you do, since you mentioned it.
no one is saying it was 911 but it does put some pressure on but it wont be the final push to it.

it is a forum subject, and relates to afg-pak, so yeah. my original point since this shooting happened was that the western public simply don't care about this region or what their governments do there, most of them probably have no idea what a drone is. so the west obviously doesn't need any domestic public support to interfere in this region since their people don't give a **** and if they did, they would be all for killing raghead terrorists. as for pakistan, i don't know how anyone could use the girl to influence pakistan when there have been heinous bombings that kill dozens of civilians at a time and countless ttp attacks on their military. if these weekly attacks don't sway pakistan, why would some girl who got injured?

You're splitting hiars, he means there isn't some mass movement using her death as some battle cry, not that there aren't individuals who have a historical reference

His analysis is logical given the current variables.

the pakistani and western mendia talking about it day and night is not some mass movement.

the pakistani and western mendia talking about it day and night is not some mass movement. your and his analysis is flawed because the reality does not match your fantasy. just because the pakistani military isnt acting does not mean there was no movement trying to force them to move against them

why shouldn't a country be upset that young girls on their way home from school get shot in the head and wounded by assassination attempts, under the name of the muslim religion?
