    Khyaal saib

I had some questions in mind which I wanted to ask so thought I will create a thread instead as the questions might be of versatile nature and could be of benefit to our PF community.

    My first question is:

What is your opinion about Pashtunistan?

Yes, this topic deserves attention...a Pashtun-exclusive state for Pashtuns extending from Hindukush to Indus. Where is Shyesta?

If the formation of Loy Afghanistan seems to many a fantasy, a dream, what future has in store...nobody knows, but the way things are progressing in this part of the world, in my opinion, the day is not far away for this fool's fantasy to become realized.

Thanks muhsina for initiating a valuable thread. Personally I don't have any peculiar model for Pashtunistan. Just as friends have expressed their ideas, the restoration of the Greater of Afghanistan, i.e., the reunion or re merger of the occupied afghan land back with present afghanistan for me would be the realization of Pashtunistan. Afghan and Pashtun are two different names of the same nation. But just as no state in the world have a 100 percent pure ethnic composition so the same is here.

We have different communities living along with us both in the occupied Pakhtunkhwa as well as Azad Afghanistan who speak different languages but we have been together for centuries. So we can't just exclude them from our setup. They will have the same right as we, and the same opportunity to promote their culture, their language, and a free environment to practice their values, their beliefs.

            Thanks Khyaal sb.

The popular concept of Pashtunistan is however to have a seperate homeland carved out of current Pakhtunland in Pakistan. What is your view about that?

The perspective of this idea lies in the historic Banu Resolution which you can read it here in my post in my post below or in the thread.

Since Pashtun/afghans didn't belong to Indian subcontinent, they refused to join either India or Pakistan and instead they demanded for an Independent Pashtun land "Pashutnistan".

On 21 June 1947 the famous Banu Resolution was passed. But the British refused to accept it and deprived the elected provincial assembly (which enjoyed 2/3 majority, 37 seats out of 50) even of its right to have its decision recorded and instead the British- Muslim League nesxus arranged a fake referendum (since then Pakistan has a history of such fake referendums).

Here is a copy of the Banu Resolution in which all Pashtun notalbles and member of parliament participated and voted for independent Pashtunistan.

Afghanistan supported the right of self determination of Pashtuns all the way and for that reason it even opposed Pakistan's membership to the UN.

Actually our forced inclusion in Pakistan changed even the future course of history for Afghanistan. Pakistan instead of giving due to rights to Pashtuns (as well as to other nations) constantly tried to destabilise afghanistan. And in 1978 unfortunately it got the opportunity to get support from the whole Western bloc to intiate a war against afghanistan in which during one phase they even abolished afghan state for a while. And Pakistan's interference is still going on through its proxy Taliban.

What should the Pakhtuns of occupied Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan do in order to regain their respectable historic status when they were a part of Afghanistan?

The Pashtuns of Pakhtunkhwa could do this through a joint a political struggle. We should create an invornment where no one could dare to oppose the common interests of the whole Pashtun/afghan nation.

Educated people, intellectuals, writers, journalists, doctors, professors, engineers, all in one way or other should contribute to this Pashtun revivalist movemet and we all should put pressure on Pakistan to stop its intereference in Afghanistan.

We now have the capacity and the will to accomplish this goal. Without taking part in politics and supporting a GENUINE Pashtun Nationalist Party we could not achieve this historic goal and thus chage our destiny.

I think the intelligentsia this time around in lar au bar is far more sharper than they were before. This time it is plausible if there is some real coordination.
