Good luck, and I don't think so.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Zan yeh da ghaara di, seriously.

How is that even contributing to national unity? This is going to cause more chaos.

Why? Ok he was a learned man, i would understand if they named a madrassa or a university in badakhshan, but kandahar of all places? Why?

Then again shaglai K could have nominated ASM name for Kandahar Airport, now that would be a wuhahaha

Yes he was a decent man, man of peace, distinguished service honour. But we are talking of Kandahar, the left ventricle of pashtun heartland it may be 642km away from the prof's asadabad, but politically two are lightyears apart.

well look on the bright side, at least they didn't name it Jinnah Univesity of Zia Ul Haq if EmKhan, 2010 or Bread-Mole would have wanted.

The likes of Rabani have no right over any part of Afghanistan being named after him, specially not qandahar. I am sure that for as long as a single qandahari I alive, they will not allow for this type of thing to happen. It's like they were randomly dividing land an that chunk of it happened to come in his share. I can't believe karzai. I wonder how many will die in protest against this bigotry.

^ Rest assured that Karzai is smoking some good hashish if he thinks Kandaharis, or Pashtuns in general will tolerate this, or even the concept of it. I mean seriously? I understand his term is up, but he should think twice before he leaves a mess behind.

karzai seems desparate and confused. next he is going to rename kabul airport after mulla omar to bring unity and peace among all fractions.
