petitions don't work for getting back canceled tv shows, let alone stopping state sponsored oppression. this is beyond the common man.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

1.It is correct for the Afghans/ Pashtuns to show such sympathy for the Rohingyas as fellow human beings under persecution and as Muslim brothers and sisters. There is another reason for which the Rohingyas can claim your support. They were in the forefront of the Afghan JIhad against the Soviets. The Rohingya diaspora had collected from all over the world in answer to the call of Jihad.

          2. Rohingyas have a martial heritage having almost exclusively manned the Arakan Sultanate Army for 365 years. Locally they are still called "kaman" meaning cannon.

          3. Rohingyas have participated in Jihad in Kashmir, Palestine, Bosnia under a British Muslim Colonel who was martyred, and it is rumored some had even been seen in Chechnya.

I have never seen or heard of ANY Rohingyas from neither my family or any other source. My relatives were apart of several major resistance groups.

I am really disappointed at the response of bangladesh and even the indian government, they should have at least allowed these people to camp in their countries, many lives could have been saved

It seems that the Imran Khan and water-kit crowd has found another fantasy to be vocal about - the Rohingya "genocide".

According to most estimates, an equal number of Rakhine and Rohingya have been killed in the ensuing civil unrest in Burma. Not more than 200 people have died according to most of the reliable sources.

But the water-kit crowd would have you believe that thousands have been massacred. They themselves believe in fairytales without verifying any facts and they expect us to come down to their standards.

If anything, I'll sign a petition calling for an end to the slaughter of Pashtuns in Karachi and FATA. I'll also sign a petition calling for the Punjabi army to dismantle their illegal torture cells/jail centers in Swat and the rest of Pushtunkhwa, where thousands continue to languish without any due process of law.

But please, save our time and energy and stop going on about this imaginary genocide. This is a conflict about statehood, land and nationality - it has nothing to do with religion. Stop viewing the world through the lenses of the Two-Nation theory.

                  Edit:

lol and just when you thought Pakistani journalism couldn't come down to any lower standards:
To protest against the genocide of 20,000 Muslims in Burma, the civil society activists and human rights workers gathered in front of the National Press Club where they demanded of the United Nations (UN) and Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) to intervene and stop the killings of innocent Muslims.

The protest was organised by Bardasht to show solidarity with the Burmese Muslims. Rozan, Sisters Trust and Movement of Social Justice joined Bardasht. President Pakistan Muslim League Farukh Khan and Nagina Sadaf from Women’s Wing of Pakistan People’s Party also joined the protest.

The protestors were holding placards inscribed with their demands and chanted slogans against the criminal silence of international human rights organizations over the inhuman killings of Muslims in Burma.

The statistics shared with media say that around 20,000 Muslims killed, over 90,000 displaced, 4,000 families burnt alive and 300 mosques have been closed in Burma since June. Burmese military and community is accused of killing, rape and mass arrests targeting Rohingya Muslims during recent sectarian violence in Western Burma.

Neither the protestors nor the media care to cite their sources. But that's just how it is in Pakistan. All you need is to be loud and passionate enough and you can throw rationality and professional integrity out the window.

1 person dead or a thousand dead its the same thing and by no means should be less value to a Muslim, neither should it water down efforts just because the figure isnt high as first presumed. I'd sign a petition for 1 Muslim just as i would for 20,000.

Then please make different threads for your Muslim brothers in Karachi, FATA, Afghanistan and Dubai.. Why are you so fixated with this imaginary genocide? Why do you pay taxes to a government that is actively killing thousands of Muslims every year? Why are you not up in arms?

Oh and please share this on Facebook:

I don't like jahiliyah (ignorance). I don't like the spread of ignorance. And when someone perpetuates ignorance, he/she must be held accountable. That was the aim of my post.

By the way, can you cite a single reliable source (apart from Jamat-e-Islami and your pet cat) that argues that there is a genocide going on in Burma? Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch are both neutral organizations. AI has spoken out against the communal rioting and the Burmese state's negative role in it but it, too, hasn't called the whole thing a genocide.

It's rather astonishing to note that the loudest voices against this fake genocide come from Pakistanis, who are equally silent on far worse (and far more real) atrocities being carried out by their own people, against their own people and in their own country.

You don't like ignorance but you you choose to ignore - what an ironic individual.

Single reliable source? how about first hand? watch the video on the evidence of a GENOCIDE, also confessions of Rohinga soldier saying how he has killed so many Muslims up to 300 in a single village, also how body's are bulldozed into mass graves. call it what you want but Muslims are being killed and ethnic cleansing is happening, with or without you there are Muslims that WILL work to diffuse this.
