What do you mean by Afghans run the show and how would you do that? Your arguing that Afghans are not in charge is BS. First you say it is the structure and system and now you come up with other nonsense.

If I may comrade, the system in my opinion is not just the infrastructure and organisation, but also the HR, the people. As long as people who lack integrity, or whose opinion of right and wrong is less rigorous, or there is a culture of taking a bit here and there for oneself, the system of abuse will continue.

I am of the opinion that it takes decades of governing, decades of implementing good governance, decades of re-education, that people in office will begin to demonstrate greater integrity, follow the law, carry out duties with responsibility and honesty. Because all systems have corruption, from America to Zimbabwe, some more some less, but even then the nations we may consider fair and benevolent where not so much so, it is only with effort of the people and with time have they reached as status we now consider just.

If you are truly an afghan patriot, you should not allow foreigners to control afghan affairs to a point where their troops are protecting you. The NA and Karzai are traitors to their nation. If they wanted to topple the Taliban government, they should have done it themselves by rallying the people to their side, they should have been on the frontlines being examples as true patriots. If they wanted help from America, that would be fine as long as they don't allow American troops on their countries soil, that's treason.
Can you imagine George Washington asking for french troops on American soil against the Brits, he would have been hung by his own commanders.

Now fully committed to the war, France supplied arms, ammunitions, supplies and uniforms. French troops and naval power were also sent to America, reinforcing and protecting Washington’s Continental Army.

But anyhow, Karzai coming on the back of foreign forces never had a chance. He wanted to make peace with the Taliban and the HIG back in 2002 but was prevented from doing so by his foreign masters. This mistake gave Pakistan hope of utilizing the disenfranchised Pashtuns against Kabul namely the HIG and the Taliban. He should have resigned immediatly in protest because if you want to make peace and progress, you cant snub anyone because that would force the marginalized population to seek help from foreign powers giving those foreign powers leverage against you.

I believe it is impossible for the current afghan economy to function without foreign investment or in the current case foreign aid. The afghan government should utilize its strategic location in exchange for foreign investment. Instead of being a beggar, it should force foreign powers to beg for a piece of the action.

First off, Afghanistan and Pakistan cant live without each other, either they have to destroy each other and have one consume the other or they have to cooperate with one another and live in a peaceful coexistence. I propose the latter and Daud came to that realization before he was killed. In exchange for accepting the Durand, Afghansitan should ask Pakistan to give it trading rights over its territory to India and have access to the Indian Ocean in exchange for acceptance. That way Afghanistan gets what it wants(access to the sea) and Pakistan gets what it wants(Afghanistan drop its rights to KP and FATA) If KP don't want to be part of Afghanistan by free will then Afghanistan has no right to force the issue and they should only be encouraged to forge cultural and economic ties.

The way the afghan government is set up now is similar to how Pakistan is set up. It can't function without corruption and foreign aid, that is the way its foreign masters want it so it stays a beggar for life. It is easier to control a hopeless beggar than one that controls its own destiny. Even Karzai has admitted that corruption came with the foreigners and that it is the foreigners fueling it.
