Yes, but the Turkic admixture comes later. One cannot doubt that.

Qais Nika's children intermarried with Turks, Persians and Arabs such, even Indics and Baluch, to create what you have today.

As Semitic peoples, we have Egyptian, Sumerian, Babylonian and Phoenician lineage, as well as that of the Jews, Arabs and Aramaics/Assyrians, from that we mixed with the Persians, Medes (Kurds) and Baluch, hence our Iranic language. Then came the Turkic genetics from the North. Finally, a touch of the neighbouring Indics was added. A perfect mix.

Then more than 60 percent of Pashtun population would be gone.

amoomi fekroona is a good example of how Pashto assimilates foreign words. Both words amoomi and fekr are arabic. Fekroona is Pashto plural form and word order in this expression in typical for Pashto (adjective + noun), not for Arabic (noun + adjective).
However, some expressions in Pashto have Arabic form, like safir kabir - ambasssador (Arabic word order).

Every nation has its distinctive features. Do you think that mythologizing history and feeling of superiority (till some extent) are flaws? I see it differently. Simplifying, Pashtuns have the self-esteem while some Westerners must go to psychologists, psychoanalysts, to realize their value and positive features

LOL but see making up stories of your origuns is exact opposite of having genuine self esteem. It means we hate who our real ancestors were so we make up some ridiculous stories. Anything to deny that many of our ancestors were Pagans, Shamans, Zoroastrians, Buddhists and Hindus.
