GHALLANAI: The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Saturday denied involvement in the Landikotal blast in which 25 people were killed and over 60 sustained injuries.
Talking to reporters by phone from an unknown place, TTP spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan said the Taliban have no link with the Landikotal blast.
He also said the Taliban had gained control in the area belonging to the Kukikhel tribe in Tirah valley during fighting over the last one week. Ihsanullah said the Kukikhel tribe had been openly opposing the Taliban militants and the TTP had tasked its Mohmand Agency chapter chief Commander Umar Khalid to lead the action against the Kukikhels.
