      Babrak Karmal was a Kashmiri.

But I would not vote for anyone. But I would endorse a Parsiwan leader if he is a good Muslim and trully is capable of serving our national interests.

Abdullah Abdullah is not a Tajik/Farsiwaan, he is a Pashtun, though his mother is from Panjsher. Furthermore, it is very wrong to assume that the only thing that matters in Afghanistan is the, much-touted by the ISPR and ISI, Pashtun v Farsiwan dynamic.

Do some research before you speak.

Abdullah's biological father was from Panjsher living with his mother in Kabul. His mother was divorced by that Panjsheri later and they had a dispute over "HAQ MEHAR" after divorce.
A person named Nangyalai Tokhi (Originally from Zabul province) who had recently being transferred from Maiwand district of Kandahar to Kabul Municipality (Sharwali) was handling the case of divorced mother.
Somehow through the proceedings they fell in love and asked Hashim Maiwandwal to get them married, even though Nangyalai Tokhi was already married.
Abdullah's claim of being a Tokhi from Zabul is baseless coz Nangyalai was his step father.
Abdullah has an elder step brother,Ret.General Latif Tokhi.
