anyways, they are using depleted uranium in the structure of helicoptor blades, so these things coming damaged, onto the landscape, is bad news.

though my post was sarcasm, hyping a taliban threat would not exactly be unheard of. its perfect justification for maintaining military bases in the country for years to come just as they have planned. in fact, this is the reason they have been hyping a nearly dead AQ for the last few years, or the iran threat or whatever justification they want or need.
      Hello Randolph,

What you are doing is affording the moral imperative to the US, by saying that hyping the Taliban threat is a justification for continued involvement. On the contrary, the truth is the exact opposite. The Pentagon obviously wants to fight until a victory is achieved, but they dont make the decisions.

People like Lynx? Maybe you should take a look at your own reasoning.

I dont believe the Taliban poisoned girls schools and neither do many investigative journalists who have seen that the Karzai puppet regime is at it again with their incessant lies.

Its people like you who call the Karzai regime the "Afghan government" and call the Afghan insurgency Pakistani proxies who take marching orders from Rawalpindi.

That the Northern Alliance is a force that will present challenges and a possible civil war- that they are armed to the teeth. Really, a gang of thugs, pimps and prostitutes that have sat indulging themselves in all wrong things for the last 10 years, is going to be such a threatening force. Are you kidding?

France says it is withdrawing- your reaction is NO BIG DEAL.

Pakistan closed the NATO supply lines, and several academics say that it is a cause for quicker end to the war- your reaction oscillates between something like "oh the pakis will open the supply lines" or "tell that to the war that is carrying on." The Russians and Uzbeks are supplying NATO!

It needed to be reminded to you that Pakistan is the only country that supplies lethal supplies to NATO/Karzai regime/ANA. Who are/were the Pakistani proxies? Another example of affording the moral imperative to NATO/Karzai regime- that despite blatant proof that they get their war supplies via Pakistan supply routes, they are not termed Pakistani proxies. Why not?

I guess its dawned on you now what end of those supplies then means.

The whole pact that Karzai signed with Obama rests on Pakistan whole heart support. The continuation of the war rests on their support. All those US backed ideas rests on their full cooperation. They are no longer in a position to support the NATO war for various reasons- a growing Pashtun backlash, and domestic opposition, and 2) it does not serve their interests in any capacity. Not putting the stability of Pakistan at risk is something the corrupt generals and government officials can agree on- they cant extend themselves more than they already have in supporting a failing NATO war/Karzai regime, antagonizing Pashtuns on both sides. They have already suffered what US intelligence terms blowback in the form of the FATA insurgency that exists solely due to Pakistan's support for the NATO war. Hence, the haphazard up and down back and forth divestment out of the war.

NATO has been there for 11 years and they still cannot defeat a freedom fighters, and your talking about Taliban propaganda is not called the graveyard of empires for no reason. Most of the Taliban are farmers who are sick of military occupation.

huh? wasn't the entire iraq debacle based on fake justifications?

I dont believe the Taliban poisoned girls schools and neither do many investigative journalists who have seen that the Karzai puppet regime is at it again with their incessant lies.
in one of my posts the other day i said i didn't believe the taliban were behind the poisonings. lies = justification for actions.

Its people like you who call the Karzai regime the "Afghan government" and call the Afghan insurgency Pakistani proxies who take marching orders from Rawalpindi.
yes, whoever holds power in kabul and commands an army are the afghan government. its not a difficult concept to understand, this doesn't mean the government is legitimate. but now you are just lying about my view on the taliban because i have never said they are complete paki proxies, and you know that. so don't bother trying to slander my views.

That the Northern Alliance is a force that will present challenges and a possible civil war- that they are armed to the teeth. Really, a gang of thugs, pimps and prostitutes that have sat indulging themselves in all wrong things for the last 10 years, is going to be such a threatening force. Are you kidding?
what is there to kid about? najibs communist thugs held off the mujahadin 3 years after the soviets left and only fell after the russian money dried up. this was a regime only supported by the soviet union and some other small actors. karzais gov't is recognized by the world and will have far more money coming in than najibs did. not to mention, there will still be 10s of thousands of US soldiers in afghanistan after 2014.

was it not the northern alliance thugs who defeated hekmatyar? on your last sn, all you ranted and raved about was the decline of the US. you obvious don't respect the power of your enemies. it reminds me of that video afghanistan2010 posted of that idiot ana soldier who has his head stuck out under taliban fire.

in afghanistan, when there is chaos, money rules. the northern alliance has money. connect the dots. ghairat means little when some country bumpkin son of a bitch sitting in some air conditioned room can control a drone like a video game and kill anyone he wants.

France says it is withdrawing- your reaction is NO BIG DEAL.
yes, NO BIG DEAL. you mean a country that has only a couple thousand troops on the ground which conduct pretty much no combat operations leaving in 2012 instead of 2013 is a big deal? are you serious?

Pakistan closed the NATO supply lines, and several academics say that it is a cause for quicker end to the war- your reaction oscillates between something like "oh the pakis will open the supply lines" or "tell that to the war that is carrying on." The Russians and Uzbeks are supplying NATO!
so i don't get your point here? the pakis have already set their conditions for reopening the route, i believe it was 5,000 dollars per truck. the route has been closed for how long now? and the war continues. pakis still have their bases and air space open to the americans.

Why not?
if your reasoning was correct, america and pakistan would have excellent relations, which we know is not true. why would america castigate pakistan if both countries had the same interests fighting the taliban? mullah zaeef says himself that pakistan is two faced.

I don't know if you're just really stupid or just really stupid. I said that none of these debates I've had has referred to comments by random people at the end of a News Story

You AND Khushal are just throwing the word "commentary" around blindly using one shade of meaning which seems to be referring to an "opinion" which is what you're alluding to here, then applying that to commentary of someone explaining something that had direct knowledge of, like the Translator of Amir Abdur Rahman's biography, who was Amir Abdur Rahman Khan's OWN minister.

So if anything it's you who are cherry picking not only evidence BUT definitions as well.

You saying that the Taliban take marching orders from Pakistan.

You have said they are Pakistani proxies? You deny you havent said they are complete Pakistani proxies? Well we never got to the discussion of the different levels of proxiness. I think you just coined a new theory LOL

What is a complete proxy? Are there different levels of being a proxy?

What is this now, different levels of something? I guess Karzai is a half a puppet?

he's not saying YOu are lying; he's saying that they're lying about the Taliban poisoning girl's schools is evidence they're using excuses to maintain assault against the Taliban despite claiming to do troop withdrawals, which was what Khushal said didn't make sense. That itself demonstrates Khushal is wrong.

a complete proxy as in the ana that is paid for, trained, and supported by the united states for fighting their war..that is a complete proxy. the taliban being sheltered and supported by pakistan but who don't fight directly for the interests of pakistan(but pakistan thinks their interests are aligned enough to support them, while still supporting the US as a contingency plan) and was initially formed without paki sponsors is not a complete proxy.

believe it or not, kid, the world is not black and white.
