Afghanistan will most likely form a stronger relationship with China when this is said and done. It is the smartest diplomatic decision for the next century to guarantee peace and economic prosperity. Asia is where the wealth is an Afghanistan will be the economic backbone due to trade routes for Silk Road interconnected the region, and putting in place a mechanism such as BRICS to form a regional power block.

China is moving away from the toxic and weakening US dollar. Iran was already moving away from the US dollar.

All nations in the world have the right to trade in their own currency, and no one currency should ever again be made the currency for international trade as it is evident that such a policy creates instability throughout the world, and is a barrier to peaceful world.

The current situation with Iran has absolutely nothing to do with Iran's civilian nuclear program but with Iran's movement to both sell their oil in other non-US/EU currency, and also trade in other currencies.

While superficially it appears that Saudi Arabia was avoiding this new independent minded thinking, this has proven wrong as a few months back, Saudi Arabia has also signed a currency swap agreement with China, and China is building an oil refinery in Saudi Arabia. Hence, Saudi Arabia seems to be taking que from Irans move away from the US dollar. While this is obviously a form of strategic defiance, the main thinking behind this is merely common sense as the US dollar and the European currencies are becoming worthless by the day.

A new economic order dominated by the Eastern Hemisphere (Asia) is emerging, and with it, there will be new international institutions that will serve Eastern hegemony.

The era of the West is over.

Frankly I think the war needs to end and the foreigners need to go home packing. Enough death and destruction here.

We have failed to deal with the terrorists by force... time to go home.

Countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan don't understand that we have to look after our own interests. Not the west nor anyone else is going to hand peace over for us in a spoon. We have to ensure peace in our regions. The primary concern for the west is to ensure terrorist attacks do not take place on their soil. Our concern should be that terrorism should not take place on OUR soil.

We guys simply do not understand that we are being used. Terrorism is a major threat that needs to be dealt with but perhaps when there's terrorism in Somalia, Nigeria, Yemen, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Thailand, Phillipines and half the world its time to look at the root causes of terrorism.

Are we going to win by force? These people with terrorist mindsets are going no where no matter how much we try to destroy them.

I have seen my countries efforts come to naught in this war and perhaps army operations are not the way forward. Plus they have caused more losses to civilians. I know in Pakistan that many people in Swat complain about the military operations and failures. Innocent civilians have not just died because of the Taliban.

Instead our very soldiers have been involved in the killing on innocent civilians. It may be by mistake or artillery or airstrikes but it is a reality we just cannot come to deny. This in part has led to alienation in our Pashtun areas. Our country needs to be set on a different path

Time to get out of the tribal areas and let the Khasadar's and tribal elders deal with their own problems. The army has worsened the situation.

Excuse me, but Pakistan is not some innocent bystander. in all this. IT is because of Pakistan support with NATO supply routes that the NATO war happens in Afghanistan.

"Sure, Pakistan is a corrupt country. Sure, it is corrupt from the shoeshiner up to the pinnacles of power. But I suppose in the end, if you're going to prostitute yourself to America – financially and militarily, as Pakistan has done for decades – that's the price you pay."
