I am surprised that you have not figured it out yet. Afghans had problem with british raj and now they have problem with its successor Pakistan which is keeping bulk of its pashtun territory since 1893. It is agreed that it is punjab which is maintaining the integrity of country and has monopoly over it. Bulk of army, beaurocracy , judiciary, parliment, business and even media is in the hands of punjabis. So afghans and baloch separatists consider punjabis, the real puppet master, as their true enemy.
Tajiks are minority ,are sons of soil and are manageable.

Ahmad Shah massoud is made to worship becuase those sale out of Pashtun mujhahids are letting them do it, you hear farsi more on tv becuase there are more farsibans who own a tv station, every Pashtun can start there own tv channel and speak Pashtu, nobody is making fun of it or it is discouraged.
