the other routes are not viable that is why paksitan had the upperhand of this war from the start. the americans were duped into this by the NA and the ISI and both sides sold pashtun blood for money. pakistan is starting to realize and feel the effect of the pashtun backlash of its actions.

have you not realized yet as an outsider that the NA blames paksitan for the instability and Paksitan blames NA incompetence for the instability. they are pointing fingers at each other while pashtun blood is being spilled and their own pockets are being filled with the mighty USDs.

@ Khushal good reclarification. I will also emphasize that Pakistan is the ONLY country that allows lethal supplies to NATO. Right now, that is happening via the air supply routes which are still open- termed the Air Lines of Communication.

Pakistan is the ONLY country that supplies lethal supplies to NATO. Russia and Uzbekistan and all other countries that are part of the NDN, only supply non-lethal aid like food, medicine, and clothes.

Pakistan was supplying lethal supplies via the ground and air supply lines. It was a Muslim country, and it was the only country doing that. Russia refused to supply lethal aid as it would then make them involved in the conflict in a more direct way. Same with Uzbekistan.

This is the reason so much of the NATO strategy hinges on Pakistan, and Pakistan knows this, and at this stage, meager threats of cutting of aid are not going to work. The carrot has not worked, and nor has the stick. The next step is most likely sanctions. The animosity within Pakistan is too high for Pakistan to cooperate with this war, believe it or not.

Disengaging from this war is the only way Pakistan saves Pakistan- and that all the corrupt politicians and generals can agree on. They conduct their dirty business as long as the situation allows it. Frankly, Karzai cant count on it.

Now, I am speaking this analytically, not like a fool like Comrade. Look how desperate he is to really believe that Pakistan is going to risk Pakistan for this stupid war. They already have a Balochistan insurgency and a FATA insurgency going on. Only an idiot would expect more of this.
