in pakistan, the military has veto power over the civilian government. Benzhir Bhutto testified to that when she was prime minister. Imran Khan is an ISI stooge that will be used to tell the US that it was democracy that guides pakistan policy. This guy does not care about the Afghan people but is only interested in saving pakistan from being dismantled from within. He is the ronald Reagan version of pakistan, lollywood man becomes president but the real strings are being pulled by people behind the scenes.

I think your seeing this in black and white, when it is really gray.

Imran Khan is no ISI stooge and this myth was largely created by the PPP in order to discredit him. To some extent, it appears to have been successful.

When he entered politics several years ago, a car bomb went off near his house. There are many shady corrupt characters in Pakistan who benefit from the status quo remaining in place. This status quo allows a British system of land owners to continue.

Back when Musharraf was in power, Imran Khan started opposing Musharraf directly- one of the first to do so. he was put in jail for that. To say he is an ISI stooge makes no sense in that regards because Musharraf was the ISI. For that act of his, he was derided as a naive fool who will never amount to having any political clout. Now that he is on the verge of becoming the PM, suddenly all these stories arise.

For the record, he has opposed all the Pakistan army operations in FATA, and wants to make peace in FATA. He has also opposed Pakistan's involvement in the US war. Again, his 7 year record on this specific issue is there- its not election point scoring.

When he criticizes drone attacks, FATA war, and Pakistan support for the US war, he is speaking clearly to the Army.

It is not a play. His wife's organization, Reprieve has done a lot of work against drone attacks in listing what is going on, and keeping records.

Im just making a guess on him based on his previous track record.

It is Pakistan, and you could be right, but who knows.

What Im sure about is he is his own man.

Its not the person but the system that is in place. no matter who is in charge in the current pakistani system, they will be powerless to actuallly change anything just like here in the US, they cant change the healthcare system. every person that comes into the white house promises the world and cant change something simple like healthcare.

Imran will bring change no doubt only if comes with majority seats otherwise the same old blame game politics. Imran khan is a determined, passionate, enthusiast and sincere person, he does what he says.
As far as ISI's role in his bringing is concerned, Yes establishment is supporting him and wants to bring him in power but no one can predict now that Imran Khan will be used by ISI. I personally believe that Imran Khan not a kind of person who takes dictation from others and there are high chances of clash between ISI and Imran khan if he comes in power. So let's see who dictate whom. Let's wait for the elections.

My Dear, Pakistan is home to more than 16crore people. You can say that almost all of them hate what the government or establishment is doing. But they all don't necessarily want Pakistan to be wiped out from the face of the earth.

                        Regards.
