PESHAWAR: The killing of Maulana Naseeb Khan Wazir sparked a massive protest by representatives and students from seminaries across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The demonstrations outside the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday were led by Jamiat-e-Ulama-e-Islam (JUI-S) Chairman Maulana Samiul Haq, Senator Gul Naseeb Khan from JUI-Fazl, Maulvi Kifayatullah and Maulana Amanullah Khan among others.
The activists of JUI-F, JUI-S, Sipa-i-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP), Pakistan Rah-i-Haq Party, Defence Council of Pakistan and students from Darul Uloom Haqqania, Akora Khattak, Peshawar, Mardan and Charsadda wore white turbans.
They were holding placards and protested against the government. They demonstrators said the PHC should take suo motu notice of the killing.
“What can we expect from a government that has failed to protect the lives of our religious scholars? In the past, we have witnessed the cold-blooded murders of Maulana Hassan Jan, Mufti Nizamuddin Shamozai, Maulana Noor Mohammad, Maulana Naseem Khan and now his son Maulana Naseeb Khan has been killed. How can a person be arrested by law enforcement agencies without a warrant or FIR registered against him and then be killed?” Maulana Rahatullah Darwaish from a local seminary questioned.
“All those who are responsible for maintaining law and order have failed to deliver. If the high court does not take exception to the matter, people will never forgive the judiciary,” Senator Gul Naseeb said.
Maulana Haq asked the government to shun the so-called US war on terrorism and said the murder was conspiracy against Islam and Pakistan.
Maulana Yousaf Shah also addressed the activists and demanded a prompt investigation into the matter.
“We are peaceful and want peace in our country. We believe in the judicial system and hope that it will rid the country of chaos and lawlessness,” Najeebullah, a student at Darul Uloom Haqqania told The Express Tribune.
On Thursday, Maulana Naseeb, a religious scholar and teacher of Darul Uloom Haqania, was found dead on Ring Road in Nowshera. A few days before his body was found, he had been kidnapped by unidentified people from Taru Jaba area of Nowshera district.
A statement issued by the seminary following his disappearance had alleged that secret agencies had picked up Maulana Naseeb when he was on his way to Kohat for a protest.

Darul uloom needs to be reformed. They need a dose of sufi/spiritual teachings in addition to sharia. One is not complete without the other.

It is indeed complete,it is almost perfect, may Allah strenghten it,and may Allah keep our ulema ikram alive so that we can gain from them.

InshaAllah,i want too to be educated there.

We don't need shaker without knowledge and actions, this very sort does the disbelievers want from us.

People who stay away from shariah, doom it and shake our heads.

Sharia is nothing but empty rituals if one doesn't work on the spiritual side of things and real meaning behind rituals. Why did the prophet (saw) go to isolated caves?
You can not move closer to sharia without cleansing your heart and soul and learning to control your nafs. What is sharia anyways? Isn't it just actions.

As I have said again and again, Please read Ibn Taymia's views regarding Zikr, real sufis, tassawuf and moving and dancing during zikr. Do not make fun of what you have no knowledge of. Its counterproductive.

I am not condoning pacifism and not taking actions as Islam requires promoting good and forbidding evil which can only be done through Sharia. What I want is more balance and the realization that tassawuf and sharia are two sides of the same coin. Both inseperable.

Please don't bring in grave worshipping, dancing, and other modern innovations in religion as an excuse to disregard tassawuf. The limits of tassawuf are well established and clear but there will always be people who go astray. Just like the rules of sharia are well established but people go against the law. Its human nature and thats why there is heaven and hell and punishment and reward.

Upto some extent I agree with you. We can have a good and constructive discussion on this topic but not this forum but privately if you want.

Why not here? It will be more beneficial for everyone and others can have their views as well so we can all learn. I am not an alim or part of a Tariqah so I won't be able to do justice to any formal discussion. I am sure there are more knowledgeable people here than me who can correct us where we go wrong.

It was before the Quran was revealed that he (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) went to the cave, yet scholars are agreed that it is not to be followed (its not sunnah).

Tassawuf is clearly explained by the scholars, and it is not that which is practiced by some.

                  Mufti Taqi Usmani - Tasawwuf - YouTube[/URL]

I don't disagree with the things mentioned by the scholars, authentic sunnah and quran, anything you do which is part of worship, one should do it with proofs-

I want to have an open talk with you and you know there are some things that we can not discuss here on forums about tariqah.
I don't endorse everything sufis do or what they say because there are so many things which goes against the Quran and sunnah. There are some secret things you may know about them, may be we can not talk about them here.

As I said before I am not part of a Tariqah nor do I have a Sheikh or Pir. Maybe someone who is part of a Tariqah can give you more information. The things I know are self taught and very basic. Unfortunately I dont know any of the secrets. lol

If you don't know what I am talking about then there is no use of our discussion because then the same plain talk, blame game, no conclusion lol.
I want to discuss it from a different angle.

Why must one have a pir, tariqah, sheikh to speak to gain knowledge ? reminds me of the shia.

You can study under a teacher like in Tajweed ( Quran),Fiqh,Hadith. But he does not control or rule over you,you even can disagree with him in areas of Fiqh-
