this is damage from the attack, area of the bombed out car doesn't exactly look like some heavily fortified base, it looks like a housing complex on the side of a road. so yes, common sense dictates that when you set off a car bomb on a city street, civilians will die. notice the car is not inside the complex but on the road.

Exactly that is the point to secure themselves,by making the taliban the worse because they target them their,i remember the american bases in Ramadi,Samarra and elsewhere,they placed them right in the populated areas,so that whenever the resistance fighters fire rockets,mortars,rpgs it will caught innocents.
