Lahore: Intelligence agencies detained more than 20 activists of the banned Hizb-ut-Tahrir in Lahore on Thursday on suspicion of involvement in making a video that accused Pakistan Army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani of "treachery".
Intelligence operatives raided a house in C-Block of the posh Model Town area and detained the Hizb-ut-Tahrir activists, official sources told PTI.
The operatives seized computers, CDs and literature from the possession of the detained activists.


"The intelligence agencies picked up the Hizb-ut-Tahri men as the organisation had posted a video on the internet that spoke about army chief Gen Kayani s treachery in the war on terror," a source said.
Hours before the raid, a Hizb-ut-Tahrir spokesman sent SMS messages to journalists in Lahore and Islamabad that contained a link to the video posted against the army chief.
The arrested Hizb-ut-Tahrir activists were taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation, sources said.
Since the killing of Osama bin Laden in a raid by US special forces in Abbottabad in May last year, the Hizb-ut-Tahrir has been accused of fomenting unrest in the Pakistan Army.
The organisation distributed pamphlets in cantonments that urged soldiers to rise up against their officers.

the same amount of concern for your own people and their issues would be a matter slightly more than just a delight. afghans always complain about pakistan interfering in it's matters but never does an afghan question feeling involved when such incidents take place. why is that?

the "Pakistan interfering line" is just used by the Amarulleh Salehs/kharzais/ Fahims to support the continuous bloodshed of Pashtuns

They are ok with Pakistan "interfering" when Pakistan gives them and their war supply routes to allow the war to continue

pakistan is a different country which happens to share a border with afghanistan in the map. it's not your in laws that expect it to favor your well being over it's own. obviously they will choose what benefits their own people over us. how they choose to deal with their own people who stand against them is their business and should be left to them to ponder upon. i don't understand why afghans wont stop behaving as if they were 7 and someone snatched away the lollypop from their hand.

this has given rise to a Pakistani insurgency which occurred due to pakistans involvement in the so-called war on terror, giving supply routes, and supporting illegal stooge government of kharzai and northern alliance

who doesn't support the US "war" in afghanistan? iran? do you think that the reason as to why iran is not letting USA forces use their border to enter afghanistan is because it feels so generously towards afghans or afghanistan?? because they not corrupted??
we afghans see what nato forces are doing in afghanistan as a war against it's people, the rest of the world recognizes that with AID. do you know what that means??
