Whenever a rational idea was put forth to the Bush admininistration, it was slapped down by reminding people of the 911 attacks and 3000 americans dead.

Well, if it true, you should be able to confirm that this event took place with multiple sources, but you are unable to , so it can not be authenticated.

For example, the Malakand story of a girl being whipped (which was filmed) was proven to be a staged act. You would have said this was the actual case, and now it isnt. That video had some witnesses who actually believed what they saw. It all turns out now that the man and girl were paid do stage this.
