Finally, as I guessed your sources are pure propaganda. It does matter that the author of that book is Indian since Indians are one of the proponents of the continued war in Afghanistan. For example, recently it has been revealed by an official in Pakistan that the video showing a Talib giving a lashing to a young girl was an act. There is a report which was kindly put up here by our friend Shadowgovernor. It has also been widely reported in the press as to who staged act and that this act was meant to misinform about the Taliban in that region.
Now, lets say that that official kept his mouth shut, people like you would continue to say that this video is authentic (showing the lashing- I think the staged act was put on in Malakand). You would hold it as the sole truth just as you are doing now with a single unconfirmed report which has not been authenticated/corroborated at all.
Again, in the larger scheme of things, all you are doing is putting the tail on the donkeys nose instead of the backside. What I am trying to say is that instead of looking at the reasons as to why the Taliban emerged, you want to pin all the problems on the Taliban and not foreign intervention. You even want to pin the disorder and crime on the Taliban, the very reason they emerged in the first place to put a stop to it
Now, I have seen no authentic and multiple reports which show that the Taliban raped women, and that this was their MO. What you posted up here is weak and uncorroborated.

are
1.) The author is Indian
2.) the source is Iranian
3.) The source is Tajik
4.) Some nebulous analogy about Larry Sinclair somehow makes the sources no longer credible
The last one AT BEST merely says that more investigation is needed NOT that the source itself is weak.
In essence you're both using logical fallacies as grounds for why you draw such conclusions.
This indicates your bias in regards to evidence of crimes done by the Taliban; and that you refuse to acknowledge it. Otherwise you would have logical reasons for why ithey are weak not
"he's Indian ...Tajik .......Larry Sinclair ...etc etc etc"
Im not attacking the author himself, im attacking the author quoting someone that was shamed in battle and that same person cant even be named. ITs ludicrous.

Now, I have seen no authentic and multiple reports which show that the Taliban raped women, and that this was their MO. This indeed was the total opposite. They formed in response to the chaos and crimes that were widespread in Afghanistan. They were not a part of that, and nothing
proves this. What you posted up here was weak and uncorroborated.
No sorry this is contradicting the rules of logic; To claim that the author being Indian or any other ethnicity is a False Association and Ad-Hominem. Whether he is Indian or not is irrelevant as being Indian does not necessarily mean he represents his government; it also doesn't change the truth value of something.
So to assert either of these as a reason for denying evidence; is in fact itself propaganda
again for your claim to be legitimate it must obey the rules of Logic and you keep violating logical standards

which is circumstantial ad-hominem. and thus your refutation is groundless

Salon exclusive: Two former CIA officers say the president squelched top-secret intelligence, and a briefing by George Tenet, months before invading Iraq.
wrong and by the way ....red Herring

so what is the name of this tajik commander so we can track him down and ask him if he actually witnessed the matter in question.
contact Ahmed Rashid or check the foot notes.
and why is it you want to go through this with a fine toothed comb.....but ll your comments about why and why didnt the Taiban do some things were valid on your word alone?

your the accuser, so the burdon of proof is on you.
I didn't claim that these sources of false? You did; I did my job in showing sources; now you have to show they're weak
so far you're not doing that what so ever. You're grasping for the Tajik card, Circumstantial ad-hominem.
Getting desperate it seems.

This is the definition of authentic from the Meriam Webster dictionary. If your sources can not be authenticated along these lines, then its not authentic, and is weak. If it is weak, then the likelihood of it being true is slim to none.
Show citations and sources that abides to the definition of what it means to be authentic. You showed ONE book stating this alleged occurrence. Show me the rest of the sources/reports that confirm the superifical report in the book.
Authentic
a: worthy of acceptance or belief as conforming to or based on fact <paints an authentic picture of our society> b:conforming to an original so as to reproduce essential features <an authentic reproduction of a colonial farmhouse> c: made or done the same way as an original <authentic Mexican fare>
3 : not false or imitation:real, actual <an authentic cockney accent>

and you're changing goal posts now; first it was because he was Tajik and now it was because he didn't name it in the text? Goal Post changing definitely
but we really dont know if he was tajik becasue we dont know his name and we dont know if he actually exists. we dont even know if ahmed rashid is dreaming these things up. how can we be sure
right and you haven't shown that these are not authentic. The authors of both have citations and footnotes; it's your job now to disprove them.
