Exactly... they are drinking piss by choice...

But what the Taliban are doing... have been doing with Afghanistan and what they did in Swat and are currently doing in South Waziristan is like raping your mother in front of you and making you watch every small detail.

I have always stated that forcing your way of life over the other person never works. This is why the Taliban failed. Because all they did was try to impose a degenerating ideology that only led to ruin on the rest of the population which pushed the country a decade back.

interesting to see what a talib supporter you are. must be why you couldn't believe the evidence of their atrocities from the mouths of hazaras.
remember that, the demand for 'independently verifiable evidence', lol.
where is all your independently verifiable evidence for everything you claim?
With Taliban supporters, the demands for evidence is much lighter on themselves than it is on those who oppose their views of course. I mean just look at some of Khushal's statements; he can make up a reasoning for why the Taliban did something and this becomes "fact". However if one of us were to make similar statements, he'd want several forms of ID , pictures, video, audio recordings and a pie chart.

Anyone who thinks victims of crimes stating that they were victims of crimes is NOT evidence, is not concerned with evidence in the first place.

as for the pee cola issue, that's just a diversion, don't even dignify it.

It wasn't forcing that was the problem; it's forcing REALLY STUPID things. Sometimes you have to force people. Like in America one way of curbing smoking is forcing places not to allow smoking in various areas. This is good. And people have reduced smoking considerably. Albeit this is "Soft" forcing rather than "hard forcing" but still a form of forcing.

All Laws are forms of force by their nature. So your statement here cannot be wholly true.

there is nothing wrong about having a beard , but there is also nothing wrong with dont having one ...

its true that most men has got a beard because its more traditional , but its also true that there are people who dont have one .

its only amusing to see people who never have been there during the taliban rule and now trying to tell others , that what they have seen was not real .

gira sunnah da , sawab lari walle phars ne da ....

so telling grown men to shave or not shave there beard is some kind of arrogant , and yes they did follow this "law" , if you had some luchak they would put you into a container till your beard were long enough ..

this has got nothing to do with society or communists or anything else , communists had beard by their own , karl marx ,engels, lenin, stalin , all had beards .....

so it was more one of this actions being a over doer in deen ....

and so this had nothing to do with islam , they imposed a law which had no religious legitimation , and they contradicted theirselfes with it ....

change of any sort is not brought by the ordinary men. if they were humane and made sense like everybody else, who would choose to follow them? fear is a great weapon. the ordinary man in afghanistan might not know that a fully grown beard does not necessarily validate one's faith but to him it does symbolize his religion. they would feel alot more inclined to supporting someone with it rather than someone without it. otherwise they are betraying their religion. afghans were used to fighting wars physically. had it not been for the emotional threat against their religion, taliban wouldn't have lasted more than 8 months.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

What did the taliban know about lenin and marx. they did not even understand the ideology of communism. the only thing they knew about communism is that they dropped bombs on them, killed 1.5 milion afghans and destroyed the country and those men like Najib and Karmel disgusted them.

Most of you kabulis think that the kabul is afghanistan, that stuff was only done in kabul by the specific police. ordinary talib did not care. google taliban pictures, there are many who had no beard.

FYI-- stalin shaved his beard which makes you know verylittle about stalin

here are no bearded talibs or small bearded talibs

                there are many more.

Shaved beards reminded them of the commies? Then why were they taking advice from Saudis haved face and a mustache. Let's not be disingenuous here. You're making up reasons. show a source.
First I dont agree with all that banning they did because I have seen the outside world and I have different views than they do just because of my exposure. But the thing is we have to understand why they made these decisions even though they were an obsticle to the progress of society. I am still trying to figure out why the ottomans banned the pringting press for over 300 years, I dont agree with that decision but I would like to know the reasoning behind it so we can take steps to avoid it in the future

Second, most of my views would clash with the taliban views and I would be labeled as an apostate for example I was the one defending your stance on the theory of evolution.

Third, America is different, the variable of war is not present. What happened to the japanese americans when pearl harbor was attacked? Why was the Nuclear bomb dropped on them when most scholars agree that it could have been avoided? what do you think would have happened to them if millions of americans were killed. REad about the American Civil war and the attrocities committed by union forces and the reaction of the southerners. The foundamentals are not that much different than any other civil. The main advantage the Americans had was they were far away from any threat. The two oceans gave them insulation from interference unlike Afghanistan.

the difference between the saudis and Najib was that the saudis didnt bomb them and killed 1.5 million afghans directly. It is about what they see not what you and I see. We have access to information, they dont.

Im not comparing pee pee drinkers with what the taliban did. Why is a pee pee drinker hindu from India even talking about the subject in a demeaning way as though he is this superior person. he does not understand us. If he is a hindu from afghanistan, then its fine. but its insulting for a non Afghan to tell me about my people.

We have to use logic here. The Taliban were protecting things that they thought were important. The protection of women by keeping them in the home or being escorted by related males. They were protecting in their own way the traditional family.

Even here in the states there is the debate going on about gay marriages. Most of those people that are against gay marriages dont really care about what a man does with another man in the privacy of their own bedroom. Most of those same people would defend that privacy right to the death. But the thing they are concerned about is protecting an institution called family, the traditional family. They view that gay marriage is a threat to the traditional family. Most of the proponents of gay marriage say that it is no ones business who a person should marry but the two individuals themselves. The former is being portrayed as backward and ones that infringe on others rights.

you are upset about outsiders telling you about your own people? initially, i told you about the abusive treatment the hazaras were given by the taliban, which you did not even know. then you wouldn't believe it because the victims who reported their stories about their experiences are hazara.
'outsiders' in this day and age have as much info as yourself, online, radio, tv, documenteries. unless you are in afghanistan or pakistan or have recent reports from family there. even then the info can be place specific.
some guys here, are in denial anyway.
do you believe the statements by the villagers, about the attacks by the u.s. soldiers killing 17 civilians, recently?

that's all well and good, now if you would show a source that corroborates your apologetics., and random pictures of beardless Talibs isnt evidence, since ultra zealous types are known to have hypocrites.
