Dr Miraki raises a very valid point. The central issues at this point of the conflict are 2 things:

1- what is the foreign presence going to be moving forward

2- inter Afghan political relations

On one hand Im inclined to dismiss northern and anti talib pashtun factions because as Dr Miraki says, they are bought off and will not return to the battlefield, but rather their villas in Dubai

However, I really believe the Shamal has been preparing for this day for quite some time, and that spai Saleh has been issuing threats
