For instance, what we know of Obama in his youth is that he had many Palestinian friends and even respected the concept of Palestine. The only oddity in his past was his role in the Harvard Law Review where he was expected to staff the review with folks that mirrored his thought process somewhat and instead gave positions to more powerful elements within his law class.
In this same way sham historians like Doris Kearns Goodwin have praised Obama in saying that he was Lincolnesque in his "cabinet of rivals."
In reality Lincoln was very resolute and not focused on reelection.
The current status of American democracy is such where you
1) Get elected because you equivocate (ie you are not like Dr. Paul)
2) You then immediatly begin to focus on your reelection in 2, 4, or 6 years depending on which office you take.
3) Your legislative branch is very susceptible to lobbying by powers (e.g the Saudi and the Israeli lobby)
4) You finally get in your second term and then if you thought you could bring out yoru true self you are dead wrong because you want your parties candidate to get elected in 4 years so you still have to obey the interests.

except for the permanent bases thing that no one likes to talk about.There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
